Introduction: We aim to identify risk factors that predict refractory convulsive status epilepticus (RCSE) and to develop a model for early recognition of patients at high risk for RCSE.

Methods: This study involved 200 patients diagnosed with convulsive status epilepticus (CSE), of whom 73 were RCSE and 127 were non-RCSE. Variables included demographic information, lifestyle factors, medical history, comorbidities, clinical symptoms, neuroimaging characteristics, laboratory tests, and nutritional scores.

Background: Several studies indicate that smoking is one of the major risk factors for bladder cancer. Nicotine and its metabolites, the main components of tobacco, have been found to be strongly linked to the occurrence and progression of bladder cancer. Cost-effectiveness analysis of combining lenalidomide with R-CHOP for treating diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in China.

Background: Lenalidomide is a thalidomide analog that has immunomodulatory and anti-angiogenic properties. The ECOC-ACRIN E1412 Phase II trial demonstrated that lenalidomide, when combined with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP), extended survival in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients. This study aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of combining lenalidomide with R-CHOP (R2-CHOP) versus R-CHOP alone as the initial treatment for DLBCL from the perspective of the Chinese healthcare system.

Effect of peripheral blood absolute monocyte count at admission on relapse-free survival in patients with idiopathic thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura in remission.

Introduction: Peripheral monocytes have been reported to correlate with clinical outcomes in various types of malignancies. Previous reports have also shown that acute-phase thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) plasma could induce the activation of monocytes. However, the significance of peripheral blood absolute monocyte count (AMC) in idiopathic TTP remains an unanswered question.

Development and internal validation of a prognostic model for predicting tonic-clonic seizures during pregnancy in women with epilepsy.

Background: We aim to develop a model to predict the probability of tonic-clonic seizures in women with epilepsy (WWE) at any point during pregnancy until six weeks postpartum.

Methods: We conducted a screening of patients diagnosed with epilepsy and who were pregnant, at a tertiary hospital in China, during the period of 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2020. We then followed up with these patients for at least one year postpartum.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma patients are often found to have developed bone metastases at the time of initial diagnosis. With the continuous development of technology, we have successfully entered the era of immunotherapy. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of immunotherapy in lung adenocarcinoma patients with bone metastases (LABM) through a multicenter retrospective analysis and to develop a novel tool to identify the population that could benefit most from immunotherapy.

Introduction: T cell Antigen Coupler (TAC) T cells harness all signaling subunits of endogenous T cell receptor (TCR) to trigger T-cell activation and tumor cell lysis, with minimal release of cytokines. Some of the major obstacles to cellular immunotherapy in solid tumors include inefficient cell infiltration into tumors, lack of prolonged cellular persistence, and therapy-associated toxicity.
