Background: Continuous nursing care (CNC) is an extended service based on meeting the needs of discharged patients for post-discharge treatment and rehabilitation. This research aimed to investigate the effects of CNC on older patients with total hip arthroplasty and to offer a scientific basis for improving the prognosis.

Methods: A total of 134 patients with total hip arthroplasty were randomly divided into the control group (n = 67) and the intervention group (n = 67).

Purpose: To explore the effect of nursing based on the hopeless self-esteem theory plus multi-dimensional intensive nursing on the self-esteem level and prognosis of elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) complicated with depression.

Methods: Eighty patients with ACI complicated with depression who were treated in our hospital from September 2018 to September 2020 were selected and randomized into the observation group and the control group (n = 40 each). The observation group received the model of hopeless self-esteem theory combined with multi-dimensional intensive nursing, while the control group received conventional nursing.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the inhibitory effect of curcumin (Cur) on the progression of septic acute kidney injury (SAKI), in order to improve the survival rate in this patient population.

Methods: Acute kidney injury (AKI) was induced by cecal ligation perforation (CLP) in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Using this AKI animal model, the survival rate of the rats was evaluated at different time points after Cur treatment to explore whether Cur can improve survival in an animal model of AKI.

Assessment of HCMV-encoded microRNAs in plasma as potential biomarkers in pregnant women with adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Ann Transl Med

April 2021

State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Collaborative Innovation Center of Chemistry for Life Sciences, Jiangsu Engineering Research Center for MicroRNA Biology and Biotechnology, NJU Advanced Institute for Life Sciences (NAILS), School of Life Sciences, Nanjing University, Nanjing, China.

Background: Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is the most frequent cause of congenital infections and can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs). HCMV encodes multiple microRNAs (miRNAs) that have been reported to be partially related to host immune responses, cell cycle regulation, viral replication, and viral latency, and can be detected in human plasma. However, the relevance for HCMV-encoded miRNAs in maternal plasma as an indicator for APOs has never been evaluated.

Background: Aberrant levels of circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) are potential biomarkers in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) diagnosis and therapy. The aim of this study was to evaluate serum exosomal miR-29a expression as a non-invasive biomarker for PTC diagnosis and prognosis.

Methods: Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction was applied to measure serum exosomal miR-29a expression levels in blood samples of 119 patients with PTC and 100 control subjects.

Context: Ligustrazine and valsartan are commonly used drugs in the treatment of cardiac and cardiovascular disease.

Objective: The interaction between ligustrazine and valsartan was studied to investigate the effect of ligustrazine on the pharmacokinetics of valsartan.

Materials And Methods: The pharmacokinetics of valsartan (10 mg/kg) was investigated in Sprague-Dawley rats divided into three groups (with the pretreatment of 4 or 10 mg/kg/day ligustrazine for 10 days and without the pretreatment of ligustrazine as control) of six rats each.

This study analyzed the infection of superficial mycosis and the relationship between the distribution characteristics of pathogenic fungi and age, time and sex in Northeast China in the past 10 years. We would like to provide a theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of related diseases. From December 2008 to December 2018, 5,374 superficial mycoses from Northeast China were selected.

Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLC) have become a research hotspot, wherein cancer-targeting effects are enhanced and side effects of chemotherapy are overcome. Usually, accelerated blood clearance (ABC) occurs after repeated injections, without changing the immunologic profile, despite PEGylation which prolongs the circulation function. To overcome these problems, we designed a red blood cell-membrane-coated NLC (RBCm-NLC), which was round-like, with a particle size of 60.

The existing of avidity cancer stem cells (CSCs) made it an optical strategy to kill cancer cells and CSCs at the same time. Here, we constructed a CSCs specific nanocarrier naming T-S-NLC using the CD133+ targeting peptide TISWPPR (TR) as the targeting moiety attached to the distal end of PEG on salinomycin (Sal) loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (NLC), its pharmaceutical characteristics proved it 128.73 ± 2.

Although numerous dysregulated circular RNAs (circRNAs) was discovered, the study between circRNAs and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is just beginning. Here, we investigated the functions and provided a possible mechanism of circ_0000735 for NSCLC. Real-time PCR was used to elucidate the level of circ_0000735 in NSCLC tissue samples and cells.

Oncol Lett

February 2019

Institute of Pharmacology, Qiqihar Medical University, Qiqihar, Heilongjiang 161000, P.R. China.

Effects of compound Kushen injection on pathology and angiogenesis of tumor tissues were investigated. Forty nude mice were used to establish the liver cancer model of nude mice, and were divided into model group (n=10), low-dose compound Kushen injection group (n=10), medium-dose compound Kushen injection group (n=10) and high-dose compound Kushen injection group (n=10). When the tumor volume reached 0.

Expression of autophagy-related proteins, microtubule-associated protein light chain 3 (LC3) and Beclin1, and matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) was investigated in serum and peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis (EM). The messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) expression levels of MMP-2, LC3 and Beclin1 in endometrial tissues of EM patients and correlation of these genes with EM and their significance were evaluated. The serum, peritoneal fluid and endometrial tissues of 84 patients treated in The First Affiliated Hospital of Qiqihar Medical University (Qiqihar, China) from March 2016 to March 2017 were collected.

Unlabelled: Backgrounds and Objective: Mounting evidence suggests that human leukocyte antigen (HLA) plays a central role in anti-virus and tumor defense. To test whether genetic variation in HLA-DRB1 gene, a key component of HLA system, can predict its predisposition to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), we thereby conducted an association study by genotyping 8 nonsynonymous polymorphisms in HLA-DRB1 gene among 257 HCC patients and 264 controls.

Results: All polymorphisms respected the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.
