Chemotherapy is generally acknowledged as an effective method for pancreatic cancer (PC). However, its treatment efficacy is often compromised due to inefficient drug delivery and drug resistance propensity of tumor tissues. Introduction: This study aimed to explore the function of miR-135a in the progress of atrial fibrosis and the mechanism of miR-135a/SIRT1 (sirtuin 1) in human cardiac fibroblasts and mouse cardiac fibroblasts (MCFs) mediating the regulation of atrial fibrosis by mitochondrial oxidative respiration function.
Methods: Using Ang II (angiotensin II) to induce fibrosis in HCFs (human corneal fibroblasts) and MCF (Michigan Cancer Foundation, MCF) cells in vitro, the miRNA-seq results of previous studies were validated. Proliferative and invasive ability of HCFs and MCFs was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8 assay (CCK-8) and scratch experiment after overexpressing miR-135a in HCFs and MCF cells.

Introduction: This study developed a pancreatic cancer targeted drug delivery system that responds to changes in acidity. The system was based on iron oxide core-shell magnetic mesoporous silica nanoparticles (M-MSNs) to treat pancreatic cancer through combined chemotherapy and starvation therapy.
Methods: Glucose oxidase (Gox) was coupled to the cancer cell surface to reduce glucose availability for cancer cells, exacerbating the heterogeneity of the tumor microenvironment.

The nano drug delivery system MnO/CDDP@PDA-Cy5.5 was synthesized in this study to increase the efficacy of Cisplatin (CDDP) on thyroid cancer and alleviate the damage to normal tissue, with the aim of enhancing the anti-cancer efficacy, increasing the drug load, optimizing the control of drug release, and alleviating the systemic toxicity arising from drug off-target. On that basis, high efficacy and low toxicity win-win can be obtained.

We previously screened 6 differentially expressed miRNAs in ovarian tissues of 4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide (VCD)-treated premature ovarian failure (POF) model in SD rats, including miRNA-190a-5p, miRNA-98-5p, miRNA-29a-3p, miRNA-144-5p, miRNA-27b-3p, miRNA-151-5p. In this study, to investigate the mechanisms causing the onset of POF, we first identified miRNAs with earlier differential expression at consecutive time points in the VCD-treated rat POF model and explored the mechanisms by which the target miRNAs promote POF. The SD rats were injected with VCD for 15 days to induce POF.

Methods: This study is a retrospective clinical study. Seventy-two NRDS neonates were selected as the subjects from November 2019 to November 2020, and divided into observation group (40 cases, HFOV treatment) and control group (32 cases, conventional mechanical ventilation treatment).

Methods: Experiment 1: a total of 30 Kunming (KM) mice were randomized into blank control, model, BCG-PSN low-dose (25 g/kg), BCG-PSN medium-dose (75 g/kg), BCG-PSN high-dose (225 g/kg), and positive drug (hydrocortisone 25 mg/kg) control groups. The AD model mice were established by induction with 2,4-Dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB).
