In this study, a dual germline PTCH2 mutation [Ser391*, Leu104Pro] was identified in a family with a history of glioma, and sequencing data from WES/SimcereDx Neuro-Onco 360 including 910 Chinese patients with glioma and 1666 patients with solid tumors were analyzed.

Laparoscopic exploration of the common bile duct (CBD) has emerged as a predominant method in hepatobiliary surgery owing to its minimally invasive nature and favorable outcomes compared to traditional open surgery. Suturing the CBD during laparoscopic procedures is critical for ensuring proper bile drainage and reducing postoperative complications. This retrospective study enrolled patients who underwent laparoscopic exploration of the CBD for choledocholithiasis at the Wujin Hospital Affiliated with Jiangsu University between January 2016 and December 2023.

Age-related trends in trabecular bone scores and bone mineral density in Chinese men with type 2 diabetes mellitus: a cross-sectional study.

Patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) typically have an average or higher bone mineral density (BMD) but are at a significantly higher risk of fracture than patients without diabetes. Trabecular bone score (TBS) is a textural index derived from pixel gray-level variations in lumbar spine DXA image, which has been introduced as an indirect measure of bone quality. This study aimed to discuss the trends and annual rates of change in BMD and TBS with age in Chinese men with T2DM and men without diabetes mellitus.

RET-AREAL: a multi-center, real-world data analysis on the efficacy of pralsetinib in acquired RET fusion after resistance to EGFR/ALK-TKIs.

Drug interaction evaluation of the novel phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor tunodafil (youkenafil): effects of tunodafil on omeprazole pharmacokinetics based on CYP2C19 gene polymorphism, and effects of ritonavir on tunodafil pharmacokinetics.

Purpose: To evaluate the drug-drug interactions (DDI) of tunodafil (youkenafil), a novel phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, its inhibitory effects on CYP450 enzymes in vitro and its clinical trials in combination with ritonavir or omeprazole were conducted.

Methods: The inhibitory effect of tunodafil on seven major CYP450 enzymes in human liver microsomes was investigated by probe substrate method. The effect of tunodafil on the pharmacokinetics of omeprazole (CYP2C19 substrate) in 40 healthy subjects, who received a single dose of 40 mg omeprazole in combination with tunodafil on the day 8 after taking 100 mg tunodafil daily for 7 days, was assessed based on CYP2C19 genotypes.

Transcutaneous electrical acustimulation (TEA) has been reported to effectively accelerate postoperative GI function recovery after abdominal surgery. This study aimed to investigate the effects of TEA on postoperative recovery and the associated mechanisms.

Identification of clinicopathological-specific driver gene and genetic subtyping of colorectal cancer.

This study analyzed targeted sequencing data from 6530 tissue samples from patients with metastatic Chinese colorectal cancer (CRC) to identify low mutation frequency and subgroup-specific driver genes, using three algorithms for overall CRC as well as across different clinicopathological subgroups. We analyzed 425 cancer-related genes, identifying 101 potential driver genes, including 36 novel to CRC. Notably, some genes demonstrated subgroup specificity; for instance, ERBB4 was found as a male-specific driver gene and mutations of ERBB4 only influenced the prognosis of male patients with CRC.

All those locally advanced esophageal cancer patients received definite radiotherapy and were randomly divided into five subgroups with a similar number and divided into training groups and validation groups by five cross-validations.

A novel nomogram for predicting the morbidity of chronic atrophic gastritis based on serum CXCL5 levels.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the diagnostic potential of serum CXC chemokine ligand 5 (CXCL5) in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) and to establish a prediction model for better diagnosis of CAG.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted, encompassing 570 cases of CAG patients admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who underwent gastroscopy and received pathologically confirmed diagnoses between June 2018 and June 2023.
