Dysregulated FAM is a hallmark of prostate cancer (PCa), enabling cancer cells to adapt to extracellular signals and metabolic changes, with the tumor microenvironment (TME) playing a key role. However, the prognostic significance of FAM in PCa remains unexplored.

Methods: Based on the multicenter prospective Chinese SLE Treatment and Research Group (CSTAR) registry, newly diagnosed SLE patients without TP at registration were enrolled.

Elucidating the nature of acinic cell carcinoma of the breast with high-grade morphology: evidence from case report.

Background: Acinic cell carcinoma (AciCC) of the breast is a rare subtype of breast cancer. It was considered a low-grade triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) with the potential to progress or transform into a high-grade lesion because of the molecular similarities with conventional aggressive TNBC in several genetic studies. Microscopically, the coexistence of classical low-grade and high-grade triple-negative components in breast AciCC is not uncommon.

Brachio-cervical inflammatory myopathy (BCIM) is a rare inflammatory myopathy characterized by dysphagia, bilateral upper limb atrophy, limb-girdle muscle weakness, and myositis-specific antibody (MSA) negativity. BCIM has a low incidence and is commonly associated with autoimmune diseases. We present a case report of a 55-year-old man with progressive upper limb weakness and atrophy, diagnosed with flail arm syndrome (FAS).

In this study, we synthesized CUR-loaded nanoparticles (CUR-NPs) and evaluated their impact on the proliferation, migration, and inflammatory infiltration of mouse airway smooth muscle cells (ASMCs), while investigating their underlying mechanisms. To achieve this objective, ASMCs were isolated from BALB/c mice and subjected to TGF-β1-induced cell proliferation and migration.

Thermal ablation with and without adjuvant systemic therapy: a nationwide multicenter observational cohort study of solitary colorectal liver metastases.

Background: Thermal ablation is routinely used for solitary colorectal liver metastases (SCLM), but the added value of adjuvant systemic therapy in SCLM remains unclear. This study aimed to compare the long-term outcomes for SCLM treated by ablation alone (AB) versus ablation plus systemic therapy (AS).

Methods: This multicenter retrospective study using nationwide data from fourteen institutions between October 2010 and May 2023, 369 patients with initial SCLM smaller than 5 cm, no extrahepatic metastases, and colorectal cancer R0 resection treated by thermal ablation were included.
