Methods: Articles and reviews related to POI genes published between 1990 and 2022 were retrieved from the Web of Science core collection (WoSCC) for the total bibliometric analysis. Tools were analyzed for publication, country, institution, journal, authors, reference, keywords, subject categories, funding agencies, and research hotspots using a bibliometric online analysis platform, Bibliographic Co-occurrence Matrix Builder (BICOMB), CiteSpace V, and VOSviewer.

Objective: To explore the mechanism of psoralen synergized with exosomes (exos)-loaded SPC25 on nucleus pulposus (NP) cell senescence in intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD).

Methods: IVDD cellular models were established on NP cells by tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) induction, followed by the treatment of psoralen or/and exos from adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) transfected with SPC25 overexpression vector (ADSCs-oe-SPC25-Exos). The viability, cell cycle, apoptosis, and senescence of NP cells were examined, accompanied by the expression measurement of aggrecan, COL2A1, Bcl-2, Bax, CDK2, p16, and p21.

Objective: This study was designed to determine the effects of methotrexate combined with tocilizumab on growth and bone metabolism in children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Methods: The medical records of 112 children with JIA treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2019 to June 2021 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. There were 51 patients treated with methotrexate alone who were assigned to the control group.

Towards precision medicine based on a continuous deep learning optimization and ensemble approach.

We developed a continuous learning system (CLS) based on deep learning and optimization and ensemble approach, and conducted a retrospective data simulated prospective study using ultrasound images of breast masses for precise diagnoses. We extracted 629 breast masses and 2235 images from 561 cases in the institution to train the model in six stages to diagnose benign and malignant tumors, pathological types, and diseases. We randomly selected 180 out of 3098 cases from two external institutions.

Is the combination of acupuncture and Western medicine superior to monotherapy in the treatment of patients with Alzheimer's disease: A protocol for systematic review and network meta-analysis.

Background: Alzheimer disease (AD) is a common cause of dementia, and there are still a lack of treatment options to reverse or prevent disease progression. Existing evidence shows that acupuncture has advantages in the treatment of AD, but whether the efficacy of acupuncture belongs to the placebo effect remains controversial, and there is no strict systematic review and network meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with Western medicine in the treatment of AD.

Methods: From the inception to February 2023, the Embase, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Medline, the Cochrane Collaboration's Controlled Clinical Trials, Scopus, China Biomedical Literature Database, Wanfang Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Australian Medical Index will be searched using the key phrases "acupuncture," "warm needling," "electroacupuncture," "Alzheimer disease," and "cohort" for all relevant studies.

This work was aimed at exploring the efficacy of extract combined with hormones in the treatment of sudden deafness and the influence on the reactivity of peripheral blood T cell subsets (PBTCSs). In this work, 64 patients with sudden deafness who were treated in The First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2019 to August 2022 were selected as the research objects. The patients were randomly divided into a hormone group (treatment with prednisone acetate, = 34) and a combination group (treatment with Ginkgo-Damole combined with prednisone acetate, = 30).

Liver fibrosis is the common pathological change of chronic liver diseases characterized by increased deposition of extracellular matrix and reduced matrix degradation. In response to liver injury caused by a variety of pathogenic agents, such as virus and alcohol, hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) are differentiated into myofibroblast-like cells and produce excessive collagens, thus resulting in fibrogenesis. Natural killer (NK) cells are the essential innate immune cells in the liver and generally control fibrosis by killing activated HSCs.

Methods: The data and the biological information in 330 OSCC tumor samples with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) (OSCC group) and 37 normal samples (normal sample group) were screened and included, which came from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) database. The differentially expressed genes were screened out by biological information analysis between the 2 groups.
