With the advancement of technology, the integration of genomics, transcriptomics, and imaging data related to AD allows simultaneous exploration of molecular information at different levels and their interaction within the organism.

Background: This study aimed to uncover the diagnostic value of circRNA (Circ)_0051386 in acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and its predictive value for the occurrence of adverse major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs).

Methods: This study included 166 patients with STEMI and 83 health donors. The expression levels of serum Circ_0051386 in these participants were quantified using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).

The mitochondrial targeting ability of fluorescently labeled nanoparticles was evaluated by laser confocal microscopy.

Performance of trauma scoring systems in predicting mortality in geriatric trauma patients: comparison of the ISS, TRISS, and GTOS based on a systemic review and meta-analysis.

Purpose: This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the performance of the Injury Severity Score (ISS), Trauma and Injury Severity Score (TRISS), and the Geriatric Trauma Outcome Score (GTOS) in predicting mortality in geriatric trauma patients.

Methods: The MEDLINE, Web of Science, and EMBASE databases were searched for studies published from January 2008 to October 2023. Studies assessing the performance of the ISS, TRISS, or GTOS in predicting mortality in geriatric trauma patients (over 60 years old) and reporting data for the analysis of the pooled area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) and the hierarchical summary receiver operating characteristic curve (HSROC) were included.

DE-ARGs were retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus and the Human Autophagy Database.

Cancer‑induced bone pain (CIBP) is characterized as moderate to severe pain that negatively affects the daily functional status and quality of life of patients. When cancer cells metastasize and grow in bone marrow, this activates neuroinflammation in the spinal cord, which plays a vital role in the generation and persistence of chronic pain. In the present study, a model of CIBP was constructed by inoculating of MRMT‑1 rat breast carcinoma cells into the medullary cavity of the tibia in male Sprague‑Dawley rats.

Prognostic evaluation of oral squamous cell carcinoma based on pleiotrophin, urokinase plasminogen activator, and glycoprotein nonmetastatic melanoma protein B expression.

This study investigated the expression of pleiotrophin (PTN), urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA), and glycoprotein nonmetastatic melanoma protein B (GPNMB) in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues and their correlation with prognosis. From February 2017 to January 2020, PTN, uPA, and GPNMB expression in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues of 93 patients with OSCC was determined using immunohistochemistry. The diagnostic value of the combined detection of OSCC and its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed, as well as the prognostic potential of PTN, uPA, and GPNMB.

Objective: Colon cancer with retroperitoneal abscess is a rare and easily misdiagnosed disease and has only been reported via case. There is an urgent need to conduct a dataset analysis for such patients, which is crucial to improving the survival rate and quality of life of these patients.

Methods: Patients with colon cancer associated with retroperitoneal abscess were extracted from our hospital and the PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science databases.

The present study aimed to evaluate the bioequivalence of the 2 esomeprazole magnesium enteric-coated capsules and their pharmacokinetics and safety in 3 biological equivalence trials: fasting, feeding, and mixing.

Acupuncture for cancer pain: a scoping review of systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

Background: Due to the effectiveness and safety, acupuncture, one of the traditional therapies of Chinese medicine, has been widely used in clinical practice globally. A few systematic review or meta-analyses have proved its effectiveness and safety towards patients with cancer pain, while there are no syntheses among those evidence. The aim of this scoping review is to summarize the evidence from systematic reviews of acupuncture for the treatment of cancer pain and evaluate the breadth and methodological quality of these evidence as well.

Being a heterogeneous disease, breast cancer illustrates different biological and phenotypic features which make its diagnosis and treatment challenging. This study aimed to evaluate the expression levels of crucial components of the Hedgehog signaling pathway, the correlation between the signal transducer Smo, and clinicopathologic features (lymph node metastasis and metastasis stage) in invasive breast carcinoma. Besides, the inverse correlation was considered between expression levels of Smo and Claudin-1.
