Background And Aims: Anesthetic drugs play a vital role during surgery, however, due to individual differences and complex physiological mechanisms, the prediction of anesthetic drug dosage has always been a challenging problem. In this study, we propose a model for predicting the dosage of anesthetic drugs based on deep learning to help anesthesiologists better control their dosage during surgical procedures.
Methods: We design a model based on the artificial neural network to predict the dosage of preoperative anesthetic, and use the SELU activation function and the loss function for weighted regularization to solve the problem of unbalanced sample.

Background: Salvianolate, a common drug for stabilizing heart disease and Angina Pectoris, is considered to be off-label for preventing venous thromboembolism (VTE) or anticoagulation at present. However, many clinical studies have showed that salvianolate can effectively inhibit the deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) incidence, and prevent VTE of perioperative patients in the real world in China.
Objective: This analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of salvianolate in preventing VTE in perioperative patients.

Diagnosis of the early-invasive oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) can be challenged in biopsies, and immunohistochemistry is commonly used in such settings. A double immunohistochemical staining (DIHC) containing both E-cadherin (E-cad) and podoplanin antibodies were developed and its use in the diagnosis of limited cancer in the early-invasive was evaluated. In this study, the expressions of E-cadherin and podoplanin were checked by the way of DIHC in 214 oral biopsy tissues including normal oral epithelial (NOE), oral epithelial dysplasia (OED), squamous carcinoma in situ (SCIS), and OSCC.

Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is a rare and highly aggressive cancer with a worse prognosis that has been demonstrated to exhibit invasive growth with early regional and distant metastasis. Breast metastasis of salivary duct carcinoma rarely occurs. Here, we reported a case of submandibular gland SDC metastasis to breast in a 64-year-old female patient who underwent a complete removal of a right submandibular gland and radical neck dissection in 2010 and undergo adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Recurrence after curative resection for gastric cancer is high, the pattern of recurrence include haematogenous metastasis, peritoneal metastasis, lymph node metastasis, and local recurrence, respectively. Here we report a case with local recurrence at the beginning, and subsequent metastasis to the esophagus three month following gastroscopy. Biopsy of the nodule in the upper esophagus was taken, pathology showed the adenocarcinoma of gastric origin.

Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the high risk factors and coronary lesion features in premenopausal women with coronary artery disease (CAD) and provide guideline for diagnosis and therapy.
Methods: 114 premenopausal women and 134 postmenopausal women were conducted coronary angiography in our hospital from September, 2012 to September, 2014. According to the results of coronary angiography, premenopausal and postmenopausal women with coronary artery disease were divided into two groups respectively, including 48 premenopausal women with CAD group, 66 premenopausal women with normal coronary artery group, 76 postmenopausal women with CAD group and 58 postmenopausal women with normal coronary artery group.

However, little information is available about the expression pattern of NEAT1 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Using the short-form health survey (SF-36) items, we analyzed the data on the postoperative life quality of 166 patients with multi-vessel coronary artery disease who underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary intervention in the Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from September 2011 to September 2013. Follow-up was performed 6 months later.

Giant congenital melanocytic nevi (GCMN) are rare conditions that defined as melanocytic lesion recognized at birth, which will reach a diameter larger than 20 cm, and they occur in about 1 per 500,000 newborns. Despite its rarity, they may associate with severe abnormalities like spina bifida occulta, meningocele, club foot and hypertrophy or atrophy of deeper structures of a limb, Carney complex, premature aging syndromes, neurofibroma, vitiligo, lipoma and dysplasia of bilateral hip impact on the patient. In this case, we report a 3-years-old male child presenting a GCMN with large, blackish, and thick nevus covering over the entire neck, back, and lower to the waist level.

Background: The ameloblastoma is the most common odontogenic epithelial tumor, which belong to benign neoplasms that present a painless course, and usually occur in the oromaxillo-facial region. Although the histopathological manifestation of ameloblastoma is benign, it has unique biological behavior, for example local invasion and recurrence repeatedly. A few case of ameloblastoma was locally aggressive growth, and rarely metastasis to other tissue, for example the lungs, lymph nodes, and spine.

Methods: Exosome was isolated from the culture supernatant of MSC. For ischemic preconditioning, MSCs were subjected to anoxia for 0 min (MSCs group), 30 min (MSCs(IPC-30) group), 60 min (MSCs(IPC-60) group) and 90 min (MSCs(IPC 90) group), and then used to treat endotoxin-injured mice.

Introduction: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to have important regulatory roles in cancer biology, and the lncRNA UCA1 is upregulated in several cancers such as bladder cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer, however, the contributions of UCA1 to esophageal cancer remain largely unknown.
Methods: Expression levels of lncRNA UCA1 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients and esophageal cancer cell lines were evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), and its association with overall survival of patients was analyzed by statistical analysis. Small interfering RNA was used to suppress UCA1 expression in esophageal cancer cell line.
