Accurate, rapid, and multiplex SNP analysis holds significant clinical value. However, the inevitable nucleic acid extraction, involving centrifugation, heating, and magnetic separation, is often time-consuming. In this study, direct blood PCR was combined with dual-labelled probe-mediated melting curves to identify SNPs corresponding to MTHFR (C677T, rs#1801133 and A1298C, rs#1801131) and MTRR (A66G, rs#1801394) in a single tube.

Effect of Compound Xuejie Powder combined with negative pressure wound therapy on diabetic foot ulcers and blood flow in the dorsal foot artery.

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of Compound Xuejie Powder combined with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) on diabetic foot ulcers and its influence on the blood flow of the dorsal artery in the foot.

Methods: A total of 103 patients with diabetic foot ulcers, admitted to our hospital between February 2021 and March 2023, were included in this study. The control group was given NPWT on the basis of conventional treatment such as controlling blood sugar and blood pressure, anti-infection therapy and improving blood circulation, while the observation group was given Compound Xuejie Powder combined with NPWT on the basis of conventional treatment.

Construction of a coumarin-based fluorescent probe for accurately visualizing hydrogen sulfide in live cells and zebrafish.

Hydrogen sulfide (HS), an important gas signaling molecule, is a regulator of many physiological processes, and its abnormal levels are closely related to the onset and progression of disease. It is vital to develop methods for specific tracking of HS in clinical diagnosis and treatment. In this study, we designed an ultrasensitive and highly stable coumarin-based fluorescent probe Cou-HS.

Objective: Through the comparison of different prediction models, we hope to find a promising statistical method to evaluate the prognosis of patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) after thrombolytic therapy.

Methods: Data of 518 patients who received thrombolytic therapy were retrospectively collected in this study. Among them, 362 patients met the eligibility criteria, so their data such as age, sex, smoking history, previous medical history, clinical and laboratory indicators were analyzed.

Objectives: Although adoptive cell therapy with T-cell receptor-engineered T cells (TCR-Ts) has mediated effective antitumor responses in several cancers, senescence of T cells could impair the therapeutic effect of TCR-Ts. Thus, it is essential to elucidate the characteristics of senescent TCR-Ts and how to subsequently improve their antitumor effect. Here, we focused on the influence of autophagy on TCR-Ts, since autophagy is tightly associated with the regulation of T-cell activation, proliferation and differentiation.

In the field of photoelectrochemical (PEC) enzyme biosensors, constructing efficient photoelectrodes, in which the recombination of photogenerated carriers is an important factor affecting the performance, is of great significance. Herein, to enhance the separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers, titanium dioxide (TiO) nanosheet (NS)/bismuth oxyiodide (BiOI) NS/glucose oxidase (GOx) composites were prepared hydrothermal and solvothermal methods. Single-crystal anatase TiO NSs with a high percentage of (001) facets lead to better photocarrier separation due to heterojunctions between facets.

Effect of hope therapy on fertility stress and pregnancy rate in infertile patients undergoing intrauterine insemination.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of hope therapy on fertility stress and pregnancy rate in infertile patients undergoing intrauterine insemination (IUI).

Methods: In this retrospective study, 180 infertile patients undergoing IUI during May 2017 and October 2019 were enrolled and grouped into a study group (n=90) receiving hope therapy and control group (n=90) receiving routine infertility care. The two groups were compared in terms of anxiety and depression, scores of Fertility Problem Inventory (FPI), scores of coping style, social support before and after intervention, and post-intervention hormone levels.

Ultrasonic characteristics and influencing factors of atherosclerosis in diabetic patients.

Objective: The purpose of this research was to observe the characteristics of atherosclerosis in diabetic patients by ultrasound and analyze the factors influencing the development of atherosclerosis in these patients.

Methods: Ninety diabetic patients treated in our hospital from January 2019 to December 2019 were enrolled in this retrospective analysis. The transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) and carotid ultrasound were used to determine the presence of intracranial (stenosis) and extracranial (plaque) atherosclerosis.

Factors influencing quality of life and work of male nurses in Hainan Province: logistic regression analysis.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affecting the quality of life and work of male nurses in Hainan Province, so as to provide a theoretical basis to improve the motivation of male nurses, reduce job-hopping intentions, and maintain the stability of labor force.

Methods: A total of 393 male and 393 female nurses with registered nurse qualifications from 53 hospitals in Hainan Province were selected as the research subjects. The distribution in various hospital departments, quality of life, stress coping ability, social support and job satisfaction were compared.

Background: Few studies have investigated the generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from human primary chorionic villi (CV) cells. The present study aimed to explore an optimal electroporation (EP) condition for generating non-integrated iPSCs from CV cells (CV-iPSCs).

Methods: The EGFP plasmid was transfected into CV cells under different EP conditions to evaluate cell adherence and the rate of EGFP positive cells.

CO, a gas molecule that is harmful to living organisms, has a high affinity with hemoglobin, which will cause severe hypoxia. However, in recent years, researchers have discovered that endogenous CO, similar to NO, is one of the messenger molecules, which has a certain regulatory effect in many physiological and pathological processes in the respiratory system, cardiovascular system, and nervous system. Therefore, it is urgent to explore an effective method to monitor the role of CO under physiological and pathological conditions.

Development of an ultrafast fluorescent probe for specific recognition of hypochlorous acid and its application in live cells.

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a highly potent oxidant of reactive oxygen species, plays critical roles in many physiological and pathological processes. In this work, a novel coumarin-based fluorescent probe, Cou-HOCl, was prepared for the detection of HOCl. The probe exhibited good selectivity over other analytes, excellent sensitivity with a detection limit of 16 nM, and fast response within 5 s.

A dual responsive fluorescent probe for selective detection of cysteine and bisulfite and its application in bioimaging.

A coumarin-based dual responsive fluorescent probe with a simple structure was developed for the detection of Cys and HSO . Under simulated physiological conditions, Cou-F displayed an on-off fluorescence response to Cys at 521 nm and an off-on fluorescence response to HSO at 500 nm. Furthermore, Cou-F had the advantages of high sensitivity, strong specificity and rapid response.

Clinical analysis of multi-target treatment for complex lupus nephritis.

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of multi-target (tacrolimus + mycophenolate mofetil + prednisone) therapy for type III + V and IV + V type lupus nephritis.

Methods: A total of 56 patients with lupus nephritis were randomly divided into a treatment group receiving multi-target treatment and a control group receiving intravenous cyclophosphamide combined with prednisone treatment, with 28 patients in each group. Clinical indicators and adverse reactions were observed before and 4, 12, 24, 48 and 72 weeks after treatment.

Methods: A total of 78 patients with glaucoma admitted to the Ophthalmology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical University were retrospectively enrolled and assigned to a routine nursing group and a comprehensive nursing group according to the different nursing modes each patient underwent. The routine nursing group underwent routine nursing, and the comprehensive nursing group underwent comprehensive nursing intervention.

Pathologic role of peptidyl-prolyl isomerase Pin1 in pulmonary artery remodeling.

Peptidyl-prolyl isomerase Pin1 is crucial for cell proliferation, but its role in pulmonary artery remodeling (PAR) is unclear. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the expression and contribution of Pin1 in PAR. Treatment with Pin1 inhibitor Juglone or Pin1-specific siRNAs ameliorated the expression of Pin1 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells (PASMCs) , and Juglone treatment arrested the cell cycle at the G1 phase.

Nursing effect of continuous blood purification therapy in treatment of severe sepsis.

Objective: To explore the nursing effect of continuous blood purification therapy in the treatment of severe sepsis patients.

Methods: A total of 142 patients with severe sepsis in our hospital were divided into two groups, 70 patients in the experimental group who received an optimize nursing plan, while 72 patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention. The SF-36 questionnaire, nursing satisfaction and serious adverse events and complications were collected.

Failure mode and effects analysis on the control effect of multi-drug-resistant bacteria in ICU patients.

Objective: The failure mode and effect analysis of the prevention and control in intensive care unit (ICU) patients with multi-drug-resistant (MDR) bacterial infection were explored and analyzed in this research.

Methods: A total of 251 critically ill patients who were hospitalized in the ICU from June to December 2019 were selected as the control group, and another 258 patients who were hospitalized in the ICU from January to June 2020 were set as the observation group. The control-group patients received conventional ICU care, the observation group was treated by the failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and then the prevention and control effect of the two nursing modes on multi-drug-resistant bacteria infection in the two groups were compared accordingly.

The patients in the observation group received nasogastric tube placement and jejunal nutrition tube placement, and the patients in the control group received general gastroscope and placed gastric tube and jejunal nutrition tube through mouth.

Methods: Enrolled patients were assigned to an observation group and a control group by the random number table method (each n=68). Before operation, each patient in the observation group was fasted from solids for 6 h and from liquids for 2 h, while each one in the control group was fasted from solids for 8-12 h and from liquids for 4 h according to the conventional method.
