This study observed the effects of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma on the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(Akt)/mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1) signaling pathway and mitochondrial energy metabolism in the rat model of adriamycin-induced renal fibrosis with blood stasis syndrome to explore the mechanism of Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma in protecting the kidney. Thirty male rats with adriamycin-induced renal fibrosis were randomized into model, low-, medium-, and high-dose Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and positive control groups(n=6). Six clean SD male rats were selected into the normal group.

[Effects of plumbagin on proliferation and apoptosis of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells based on CKB/p53 signaling pathway].

To investigate the effects of plumbagin on the proliferation and apoptosis of human hepatoma Huh-7 cells and its mechanism based on the creatine kinase B(CKB)/p53 signaling pathway. Huh-7 cells were treated with plumbagin from 1 to 12 μmol·L~(-1) for cell counting kit-8(CCK-8) assay, and 1, 3, and 6 μmol·L~(-1) were determined as low, medium, and high concentrations of plumbagin for subsequent experiments. CKB gene was knocked out in Huh-7 cells by clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated proteins(Cas)-9 gene editing technology.

The databases such as CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMbase, Web of Science, Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, and ClinicalTrials.gov were searched for randomized controlled trial(RCT) of Chaihuang Granules for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infection in children, and supplemented by manual searching of gray literature.

With the effects of activating blood and resolving stasis, and moving Qi to relieve pain, Jingtong Granules is widely used in the treatment of cervical radiculopathy in China. Long-term clinical application and related evidence have shown that the prescription has ideal effect in alleviating the pain in neck, shoulder, and upper limbs, stiffness or scurrying numbness, and scurrying pain caused by this disease. However, there is a lack of consensus on the clinical application of Jingtong Granules.

Objective: To investigate the effects of letrozole combined with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets on serum sex hormones and lipid metabolism in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Methods: Clinical data of 152 PCOS patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine from May 2019 to June 2021 were collected for a retrospective analysis. Among the patients, 73 treated with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets alone were seen as control group (CG), and the rest 79 with letrozole combined with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets were seen as observation group (OG).

Direct and accurate detection of doxorubicin (DOX) in unprocessed human whole blood is of vital importance in medical diagnosis and monitoring. In this work, we demonstrate the utilization of electrochemically pretreated glassy carbon electrodes (p-GCE) modified with vertically-ordered mesoporous silica films (VMSF) for rapid and sensitive electrochemical detection of DOX. The electrochemically pretreated process is a simple, cost-effective and environmentally friendly approach for improving interface catalytic properties and introducing oxygen-containing groups into the GCE surface, which could be suitable for stably growing VMSF without any adhesive layer simultaneously retaining the underlying electrode activity.

Diagnostic value of prenatal ultrasound for detecting abnormal fetal blood flow.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of color Doppler ultrasound in detecting abnormal blood flow in the fetal umbilical artery (UA), renal artery (RA), and middle cerebral artery (MCA) in order to reduce the incidence of birth defects.

Methods: The clinical records of 186 pregnant women who received color Doppler ultrasound assessment in UA, RA, and MCA were retrospectively analyzed. Of them, 95 normal pregnant women were assigned to the control group, whereas 91 high-risk pregnant women who later gave birth to babies with defects or had poor pregnancy outcomes in late-term were assigned to the study group.

Reagentless and sensitive detection of tumor biomarkers using label-free electrochemical immunosensors is highly desirable for early and effective cancer diagnosis. Herein, we present a label-free electrochemical immunoassay platform based on surface-confined Prussian blue (PB) redox probes for sensitive and reagentless determination of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). To facilitate the electron transfer of probes and improve sensitivity, Au nanoparticles and PB (Au-PB) are electrochemically co-deposited on a carbon nanotube (CNT) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE).
