Gastric cancer continues to be a leading global health concern, with current therapeutic approaches requiring significant improvement. While the disruption of iron metabolism in the advancement of gastric cancer has been well-documented, the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain largely unexplored. Additionally, the complement C5a-C5aR pathway has been identified as a crucial factor in gastric cancer development.

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed malignancy and major cause of cancer death among women population in the worldwide. Ferroptosis is a recently discovered iron-dependent regulated cell death involved in tumor progression and therapeutic response. Moreover, increasing studies have implied that ferroptosis is a promising approach to eliminating cancer cells like developing iron nanoparticles as a therapeutic agent.

Introduction: A pan-genotypic and effective treatment regimen for patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection remains an unmet medical need in China. Alfosbuvir is a novel potent HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitor in development for the treatment of chronic HCV infection. We conducted a phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of alfosbuvir in combination with daclatasvir in Chinese patients with HCV infection.

Objectives: To develop a deep learning (DL) method that can determine the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) grading of high-risk liver lesions and distinguish hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) from non-HCC based on multiphase CT.
Methods: This retrospective study included 1049 patients with 1082 lesions from two independent hospitals that were pathologically confirmed as HCC or non-HCC. All patients underwent a four-phase CT imaging protocol.

To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of I seed implantation in the treatment of mediastinal lymph node metastasis of lung cancer. Clinical data of 36 patients who underwent CT-guided I seed implantation for mediastinal lymph node metastasis of lung cancer from August 2013 to April 2020 in three hospitals of the Northern radioactive particle implantation treatment collaboration group were retrospectively collected, including 24 males and 12 females, aged 46 to 84 years. Cox regression model was used to analyze the relationship between local control rate, survival rate and tumor stage, pathological type, postoperative D90, postoperative D100 and other variables, and to analyze the occurrence of complications.

Background: Previous studies have suggested associations between addictive behavior and gallstone disease (GSD) risk, yet conflicting results exist. It also remains unclear whether this association is causal or due to confounding or reverse associations. The present study aims to systematically analyze the epidemiological evidence for these associations, as well as estimate the potential causal relationships using Mendelian randomization (MR).

Objective: To screen the cell differentiation trajectory-related genes and build a cell differentiation trajectory-related signature for predicting the prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).
Methods: LUAD single cell mRNA expression profile, TCGA-LUAD transcriptome data were obtained from GEO and TCGA databases. Single-cell RNA-seq data were used for cell clustering and pseudotime analysis after dimensionality reduction analysis, and the cell differentiation trajectory-related genes were acquired after differential expression analysis conducted between the main branches.

To investigate the clinical efficacy of the modified Latarjet procedure in the treatment of recurrent anterior subluxation of the shoulder by "coaxial co-arc" reconstruction of the glenoid cavity. The clinical data of 103 cases (106 shoulders) of recurrent anterior dislocation of the shoulder admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Military Medical University from January 2005 to December 2020 were retrospectively studied. Out of these cases, 84 were males and 19 were females; 31 with left-sided injuries while 75 with right-sided injuries, with a mean age of (29.

Background: Genetic studies have linked polymorphisms in the interleukin 6 receptor () gene to the risk of multiple human diseases and phenotypes, yet have reported inconsistent results. We aimed to synthesize current knowledge of variants in the gene on the risk of diseases and phenotypes.
Methods: We searched the Medline and Embase databases to identify relevant publications.

Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is characterized by the spontaneous development of wheals, itching, and/or angioedema, for ≥6 weeks. In China, non-sedating H1-antihistamines (H1AH) are the recommended first-line treatment, with escalation up to 4× the standard dose in symptomatic patients to achieve control. Treatment options for Chinese patients who remain symptomatic on H1AH treatment are limited.

Observational studies suggested a bidirectional correlation between depression and metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its components. However, the causal associations between them remained unclear. We aimed to investigate whether genetically predicted depression is related to the risk of MetS and its components, and vice versa.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains one of the most lethal malignant tumors worldwide; however, the etiology of HCC still remains poorly understood. In the present study, cancer-omics databases, including The Cancer Genome Atlas, GTEx and Gene Expression Omnibus, were systematically analyzed in order to investigate the role of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) zinc finger protein, FOG family member 2-antisense 1 (ZFPM2-AS1) and the zinc finger protein, FOG family member 2 (ZFPM2) gene in the occurrence and progression of HCC. It was identified that the expression levels of lncRNA ZFPM2-AS1 were significantly increased in HCC tissues, whereas expression levels of the ZFPM2 gene were significantly decreased in HCC tissues compared with normal liver tissues.

In most situations, central catheters are implanted in the right jugular vein as initial access for hemodialysis. However, after repeated punctures, the proximal vessels become stenosed and thrombosed and misplacement is likely to occur. Correct catheter position in the vein can be easily ascertained with X-ray or cross-sectional CT imaging.
