Rare, late onset of immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced type 1 diabetes mellitus in a patient with small-cell lung cancer treated with serplulimab: a case report and review of the literature.

Background: As a newly approved immune checkpoint inhibitor in China, serplulimab has been widely used in the immunotherapy of tumors. However, the immune-related adverse events of immune checkpoint inhibitors should not be ignored. Although immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced type 1 diabetes mellitus is a rare complication, it may cause diabetic ketoacidosis and endanger the lives of patients.

Platelet-rich plasma for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer: a systematic review.

Background: With the increasing incidence of diabetes, diabetic foot ulcer(DFU) has become one of the most common and serious complications in people with diabetes. DFU is associated with significant morbidity and mortality, and can also result in significant economic, social and public health burdens. Due to peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, hyperglycemic environment, inflammatory disorders and other factors, the healing of DFU is impaired or delayed, resulting in the formation of diabetic chronic refractory ulcer.

The purpose of the meta-analysis was to evaluate and compare the effect of intrawound management on decreasing deep surgical site infections (SSIs) in instrumented spinal surgery (SS). The results of this meta-analysis were analysed, and the odds ratio (OR) and mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using dichotomous or contentious random or fixed effect models. For the current meta-analysis, 29 examinations spanning from 2006 to 2022 were included, encompassing 11 181 people who had instrumented SS.

Tumor immunotherapy is a safe and effective strategy for precision medicine. However, immunotherapy for most cancer cases still ends in failure, with the root causes of the immunosuppressive and extraordinary heterogeneity of the solid tumors microenvironment. Quercetin is one of the most common flavonoids. More and more studies have found that quercetin has great potential utilization value in cardiovascular diseases (CVD), such as antioxidant, antiplatelet aggregation, antibacterial, cholesterol lowering, endothelial cell protection, etc. However, the medicinal value of quercetin is mostly limited to animal models and preclinical studies.

Bibliometrics and visualization analysis of literature on male hypogonadism from 2000 to 2023: research focus and frontiers.

Male hypogonadism can seriously affect male health and fertility, yet comprehensive bibliometric and visualization analyses of research in this area have been lacking. This study aimed to examine the distribution of literature, identify research hotspots, and discern development trends in male hypogonadism by analyzing 4026 English documents published between 2000 and 2023 using bibliometric and visual analyses. The results indicated a significant increase in publications and citations related to male hypogonadism over the past two decades, with the United States, the University of Florence, Maggi M, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism recognized as the most productive and highly cited country, institution, author, and journal, respectively.

Case report: the dissociated response and clinical benefit of primary leiomyosarcoma of the bone treated with penpulimab plus lenvatinib after failed multi-line therapy.

However, whether early changes of PLR (ΔPLR) during NACT can predict pCR has not been reported. A total of 257 breast cancer patients who underwent NACT were retrospectively analyzed.

Perioperative management of a patient with morbid obesity and severe cardiomyopathy: a case report and literature review.

As the obesity epidemic continues to escalate, the need for bariatric surgery will increase. Patients with severe cardiomyopathy and heart failure have historically been considered at high risk for perioperative complications and thus excluded from bariatric surgery. We herein describe a patient with morbid obesity, severe cardiomyopathy, and heart failure who successfully and safely underwent bariatric surgery and achieved significant weight loss and overall cardiac function improvement 1 year later.

Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a complex clinical syndrome of hospitalization that may be affected by undernutrition and metabolic changes. The aim of this meta-analysis was to systematically assess the association between malnutrition and the risk of prevalent AKI.

Bioequivalence study of dacomitinib and Vizimpro® in healthy Chinese volunteers under fasting and fed conditions: A randomized, open-label, single-dose, crossover trial.

This study aimed to evaluate the bioequivalence between test tablet dacomitinib and reference product Vizimpro® under fasting and fed conditions and assess their pharmacokinetic (PK) and safety profiles for gaining marketing approval of the new generic drug. A single-center, randomized, open-label, single-dose, two-treatment, two-period, crossover bioequivalence study was conducted in healthy Chinese subjects. Overcoming acquired resistance to cancer immune checkpoint therapy: potential strategies based on molecular mechanisms.

Recurrent trichilemmal carcinoma of the periorbital region treated with IMRT radiotherapy: A case report and a review of literature.

Rationale: Trichilemmal carcinoma (TLC) is a rare malignant cutaneous adnexal tumor usually accept surgery. This report describes an elderly patient with recurrence TLC of the periorbital region after surgery who was subsequently treated with IMRT radiotherapy. After 2-years follow-up visit, there was no progress or metastasis.
