Purpose: Psychosomatic symptoms are frequently observed side effects in breast cancer (BC) patients and significantly influence cognitive function. However, limited research has addressed the role of psychosomatic symptoms in the relationship between physical activity and cognitive function. This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of psychosomatic symptoms on the relationship between physical activity and cognitive function in BC patients.

Cryoablation, as a minimally invasive technology for the treatment of tumors, destroys target tumors with lethal low temperatures. It simultaneously releases a large number of tumor-specific antigens, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and nucleoproteins, known as "danger signals", activating the body's innate and adaptive immune responses. However, tumor cells can promote the inactivation of immune effector cells by reprogramming immune checkpoints, leading to the insufficiency of these antigens to induce an immune response capable of eradicating the tumor.

Background: Pancreatic cystic neoplasms are increasingly diagnosed with the development of medical imaging technology and people's self-care awareness. However, two of their sub-types, serous cystic neoplasms (SCN) and mucinous cystic neoplasms (MCN), are often misclassified from each other. Because SCN is primarily benign and MCN has a high rate of malignant transformation.

Background: The determination of pathological grading has a guiding significance for the treatment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients. However, there is a lack of an accurate and safe method to obtain pathological grading before surgery. The aim of this study is to develop a deep learning (DL) model based on F-fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG-PET/CT) for a fully automatic prediction of preoperative pathological grading of pancreatic cancer.

BACKGROUND Myeloablative chemotherapy supported by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) is an option for primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) in both the relapse setting and as postremission consolidation, but the level of evidence in this field is still low. MATERIAL AND METHODS We retrospectively analyzed 47 HIV-negative PCNSL patients from 2010 to 2021. To assess the outcomes in patients undergoing ASCT.

Objectives: To investigate the effect and its mechanisms of different antiviral agents on the immunogenicity of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccines in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB).
Methods: A total of 125 patients with CHB receiving nucleos(t)ide analogs (NAs) monotherapy or combined with Peg-interferon-alpha (Peg-IFNα) therapy and 29 healthy controls (HCs) were enrolled. Adverse reactions (ADRs) and levels of neutralizing antibody (NAb), immunoglobulin G (IgG), immunoglobulin M (IgM), and peripheral cytokines post-vaccination were analyzed.

Background: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) have been widely used in treating different malignancies. Several studies have reported that the gut microbiota modulates the response and adverse events (AEs) to ICIs in melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), renal cell cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma, but data on other cancer types and ICI combination therapy are limited.
Methods: Stool samples were collected from patients with cancer who received anti-PD-1 and chemotherapy combination treatment and were analyzed by fecal metagenomic sequencing.

Purpose: Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive solid tumor with a severe prognosis. Although tumor biomarkers are often used to identify advanced pancreatic cancer, this is not accurate, and the currently used biomarkers are not indicative of prognosis. The present study evaluated circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a biomarker for prognosis prediction and disease monitoring in metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAC).

Background: Neoadjuvant therapy is a standard treatment for patients with large, nonmetastatic breast cancer and may allow breast-conserving surgery after tumor downsizing while decreasing the risk of subsequent relapse. Dynamic changes of circulation tumor cells (CTCs) have a role in predicting treatment efficacy of breast cancer. However, the relationship between CTC enumeration before neoadjuvant therapy and pathologic complete response rate is still uncertain.

This study aimed to determine the quantitative anti-hepatitis B core antibody (qAnti-HBc) and quantitative hepatitis B core-related antigen (qHBcrAg) as predictors for HBsAg clearance in NA-suppressed patients with CHB receiving PEG-IFN-α add-on therapy.
Methods: Seventy-four CHB patients who achieved HBV DNA suppression (HBV DNA < 20 IU/ml) and quantitative HBsAg (qHBsAg) < 1,500 IU/ml after ≥1 year of NA treatment were enrolled.

The growth of lymphatic vessels (lymphangiogenesis) plays a pivotal role in breast cancer progression and metastasis and the immune response. Vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGFC) has been demonstrated to accelerate cancer metastasis and modulate the immune system by enhancing lymphangiogenesis. However, it remains largely unclear how transcription factors physically regulate VEGFC expression by interacting with histone-modifying enzymes.
