Anthracene has served as an important building block of conjugated polymers with the connecting positions playing a crucial role for the electronic structures. Herein, anthracene units have been coupled through their 2,7-carbons to develop an unprecedented, conjugated polymer, namely, poly(2,7-anthrylene) featuring additional peri-fused porphyrin edges. The synthesis starts from a 2,7-dibromo-9-nickel(II) porphyrinyl-anthracene as the pivotal precursor.

The sialic acid binding Ig like lectin 15 (Siglec-15) was previously identified as tumor immune suppressor gene in some human cancers with elusive molecular mechanism to be elucidated. The continuous focus on both clinical and basic biology of bladder cancer leads us to characterize aberrant abundance of BACH1-IT2 associating with stabilization of Siglec-15, which eventually contributes to local immune suppressive microenvironment and therefore tumor advance. This effect was evidently mediated by miR-4786-5p.

The simultaneous improvement of efficiency and stability of organic solar cells (OSCs) for commercialization remains a challenging task. Herein, we designed asymmetric acceptors DT-C8Cl and DT-C8BTz with functional haloalkyl chains, in which the halogen atoms could induce noncovalent interactions with heteroatoms like O, S, and Se, etc., thus leading to appropriately manipulated film morphology.

With WHO announcing COVID-19 no longer as a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) on May 5, 2023, coupled with the fact that the majority of the countries of the world have dropped strict city lockdown or border closure, this perhaps signals the end of the COVID-19 crisis caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in far-reaching effects affecting nearly every aspect of our lives and society. Notably, the food industry including agriculture, food manufacturers, food logistics, distributors and retailers have all felt the profound impact and had experienced significant stress during the pandemic.

The COVID-19 infection is assumed to induce cognitive failure. Identifying the relationship between COVID-19, the effect of vaccination and medication, and accommodating non-COVID-19 factors to cognitive failure is essential. This study was conducted in Indonesia from September 2021 to January 2023.

The rising incidence of health-endangering obesity constantly calls for more effective treatments. Gastric intramural injection of botulinum neurotoxin A (BTX-A) as a new modality carries great promise yet inconsistent therapeutic efficacy. A layer-specific delivery strategy enabled by dissolving microneedles is hence pioneered to investigate the working site of BTX-A and the resulting therapeutic effects.

Background: The health care system in China is fragmented, and the distribution of high-quality resources remains uneven and irrational. Information sharing is essential to the development of an integrated health care system and maximizing its benefits. Nevertheless, data sharing raises concerns regarding the privacy and confidentiality of personal health information, which affect the willingness of patients to share information.

Cities in China are on the frontline of low-carbon transition which requires monitoring city-level emissions with low-latency to support timely climate actions. Most existing CO emission inventories lag reality by more than one year and only provide annual totals. To improve the timeliness and temporal resolution of city-level emission inventories, we present Carbon Monitor Cities-China (CMCC), a near-real-time dataset of daily CO emissions from fossil fuel and cement production for 48 major high-emission cities in China.

Bowden-cable-actuated soft exoskeleton robots are known for their light weight and flexibility of power transmission during rehabilitation training or movement assistance for humans. However, friction-induced nonlinearity of the Bowden transmission cable and gearbox backlash pose great challenges forprecise tracking control of the exoskeleton robot. In this paper, we proposed the design of a learning-based repetitive controller which could compensate for the non-linearcable friction and gearbox backlash in an iterative manner.

The level of energy green consumption is an essential factor influencing China's economy's high-quality development. In this paper, we select relevant panel data from 2010 to 2019 for 28 cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas, and use the DPSIR model and spatial econometric model to analyze the spatial divergence characteristics and driving factors of the energy green consumption index based on the construction of the energy green consumption level evaluation index system and index measurement. The results of this research are as follows: (1) The energy green consumption index has a distribution pattern of "high in the east and low in the west, high in the north, and low in the south," and the driving force (D) and response force (I) are the key factors influencing the spatial variation of the energy green consumption index.

Background: Intestinal spasm and peristalsis during colonoscopy are common but undesirable phenomena, which can easily lead to a missed diagnosis of colorectal polyps and other diseases, and antispasmodic drugs can have adverse side effects. Previous studies find that acupuncture can regulate abnormal gastrointestinal motility. But evidence quality is low and limited at present, and high-quality studies are required.

Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a worldwide devastating type of stroke with high mortality and morbidity. Accumulating evidence show early brain injury (EBI) as the leading cause of mortality after SAH. The pathological processes involved in EBI include decreased cerebral blood flow, increased intracranial pressure, vasospasm, and disruption of the blood-brain barrier.

Accurate identification of ligand binding sites (LBS) on a protein structure is critical for understanding protein function and designing structure-based drugs. As the previous pocket-centric methods are usually based on the investigation of pseudo-surface-points outside the protein structure, they cannot fully take advantage of the local connectivity of atoms within the protein, as well as the global 3D geometrical information from all the protein atoms. In this paper, we propose a novel point clouds segmentation method, PointSite, for accurate identification of protein ligand binding atoms, which performs protein LBS identification at the atom-level in a protein-centric manner.
