Objective: This study explores factors that affect the sustainable implementation of best practice guidelines (BPGs) and provides a basis for developing corresponding action strategies to promote project sustainability.

Methods: Using the NHS (National Health Service) questionnaire scoring system, surveys were conducted among nurses who implemented BPGs in three hospitals in China. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis.

This article offers a review of the latest research applications of optogenetics in the study of TBI.

As a kind of environmental noise, infrasonic noise has negative effects on various human organs. To date, research has shown that infrasound impairs cognitive function, especially the ability for learning and memory. Previously, we demonstrated that impaired learning and memory induced by infrasound was closely related with glia activation; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

The effects of COVID-19 infection on working memory: a systematic review.

Background: Studies demonstrate that people who have been infected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the causative agent of COVID-19, have experienced cognitive dysfunction, including working memory impairment, executive dysfunction, and decreased concentration. This review aimed to explore the incidence of working memory impairment and possible concomitant symptoms in the acute phase (< 3 months) and chronic phase (> 6 months) of COVID-19.

Methods: We conducted a systematic review of the following databases for inception: MEDLINE Pub Med, Cochrane EMBASE, and Web of Science electronic databases.

Background: Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) has been widely reported to be safe and feasible, and has a powerful effect on improving metabolism and weight loss in patients with a high body mass index (BMI). A few studies have focused on the comparison of RYGB with medical treatment in type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients with a lower BMI.

Objectives: To compare the metabolic effects and safety of RYGB versus medical treatment during a 2 years follow-up in T2D patients with a BMI of 25 to 32.

Lipid Accumulation Product Predicts Diabetes Remission After Bariatric Surgery in Chinese Patients with BMI < 35 kg/m: a Multicenter Cohort Study.

Purpose: To evaluate whether preoperative visceral fat-related indexes, such as visceral adiposity index (VAI), lipid accumulation product (LAP), Chinese visceral adiposity index (CVAI), and metabolic score for visceral fat (METS-VF), are useful for predicting diabetes remission in Chinese patients with a BMI < 35 kg/m after bariatric surgery.

[Clinicopathological analysis of 16 cases of pyrrolizidine alkaloids-associated hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome].

To observe the histopathological manifestations of liver biopsy in patients with hepatic sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (HSOS) induced by pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA). Patients diagnosed with PA-HSOS from 2012 to 2017 were selected, and the general conditions, liver function indexes, medication history, liver biopsy time, histopathological slides of liver biopsy, and follow-up data of clinical prognosis after 6 months of onset were collected. Clinical staging with clinical data was used to observe the histopathological manifestations of patients at different clinical stages.

Dihydromyricetin induces cell apoptosis via a p53-related pathway in AGS human gastric cancer cells.

The aim of the present study was to determine the anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects of dihydromyricetin (DHM) on the AGS human gastric cancer cells and their underlying mechanisms. The effects of DHM on AGS cells were evaluated by using 3-(4, 5-di-methylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT), lactate dehydrogenase, and Annexin V/propidium iodide (PI) double-staining assays.
