Background And Purpose: The treatment paradigm for very large and giant aneurysms has recently changed to flow diversion, in light of the results of the Pipeline for Uncoilable or Failed Aneurysms trial. However, the effects of flow diversion were definitely unknown. We explored this topic and identified the predictors of such effects.

Background: The purpose of the study was to clarify the usefulness of positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) for pre-operative evaluation of intra-thoracic esophageal cancer, especially in terms of regional lymph node status.

Methods: Medical records of 93 consecutive cases from July 2007 to October 2012 were retrospectively reviewed. All patients underwent curative and complete esophagectomies for intra-thoracic esophageal cancer.
