Background: Radial artery cannulation can cause complications such as haematoma formation or thrombosis due to its small diameter. Recently, a novel ultrasound device equipped with an electromagnetic guidance system was introduced, showing the path and alignment of the needle during the procedure. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of this novel system on both success and complication rates during radial artery cannulation under ultrasound guidance.

The Tempofilter II is a widely used temporary vena cava filter. Its unique design, which includes a long tethering catheter with a subcutaneous anchor, facilitates the deployment and retrieval of the device. Despite this, the Tempofilter II has been used only in the inferior vena cava of patients with lower extremity deep venous thrombosis.

Bilateral internal carotid artery agenesis is a very rare congenital anomaly, which may be accompanied by various types of associated vascular abnormalities, included intracranial aneurysms or dolichoectatic change of posterior circulation. In this article, we present unique, and to the best of our knowledge, the first case of bilateral internal carotid agenesis associated with basilar artery fenestration, which resembles intra-arterial floating thrombus.

Purpose: To compare rebound tonometer and cannulation as methods for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) in rats.
Methods: The accuracy of the TonoLab rebound tonometer was determined in eight cannulated rat eyes. IOP was manipulated by changing air pressure from 20 to 100 mmHg at 10-mmHg intervals, and the IOP was measured with the rebound tonometer at each level.

Background: Plasmodium vivax malaria accounts for more than half of all malaria cases in Asia and Latin America. Despite the high prevalence of disease caused by this parasite, research into its effects (especially its renal effect) has lagged disproportionately. To investigate predictors of vivax malaria-induced nephropathy, we analyzed the cases of vivax malaria-induced nephropathy in young Korean men.

Previous transtibial double bundle posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction methods have several problems in graft length and tibial fixation. We introduce new surgical method that is less restrictive by graft length and is more stable with single tibial fixation. After diagnostic arthroscopy, we prepare the graft, ream the tibial tunnel, and perform the procedure for TransFix tibial fixation.
