Fenestrated and branched endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (f-EVAR, b-EVAR, respectively) are technically challenging procedures that have evolved over the last decade for complex aortic aneurysms. They are alternatives to surgical repair for suprarenal and juxtarenal aortic aneurysms. A Pubmed database was reviewed by searching keywords related to f-EVAR, b-EVAR, and juxta renal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) from the last five years to see current indications, contemporary techniques, and results of these techniques for juxtarenal aneurysms.

Background: Simulation is increasingly being adopted by healthcare educators throughout the developed world as it offers a safe environment to practice skills. While there is literature on learning via simulation in healthcare in the developed world, more studies are required to investigate the factors influencing this approach in the developing world.

Objective: This scoping review highlights the key factors that act as deterrents as well as encouragement to the uptake of simulation as a teaching methodology in healthcare education in developing countries.

Role of apolipoprotein B in the clinical management of cardiovascular risk in adults: An Expert Clinical Consensus from the National Lipid Association.

This National Lipid Association (NLA) Expert Clinical Consensus provides an overview of the physiologic and clinical considerations regarding the role of apolipoprotein B (apoB) measurement to guide clinical care based on the available scientific evidence and expert opinion. ApoB represents the total concentration of atherogenic lipoprotein particles in the circulation and more accurately reflects the atherogenic burden of lipoproteins when compared to low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). ApoB is a validated clinical measurement that augments the information found in a standard lipoprotein lipid panel; therefore, there is clinical value in using apoB in conjunction with a standard lipoprotein lipid profile when assessing risk and managing lipid-lowering therapy (LLT).

Purpose Of Review: Health data sciences can help mitigate high burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) management in South Asia by increasing availability and affordability of healthcare services. This review explores the current landscape, challenges, and strategies for leveraging digital health technologies to improve CVD outcomes in the region.

Recent Findings: Several South Asian countries are implementing national digital health strategies that aim to provide unique health account numbers for patients, creating longitudinal digital health records while others aim to digitize healthcare services and improve health outcomes.

Background: A digital decision support system in healthcare is a digital health intervention that assists healthcare professionals in decision-making by providing treatment recommendations and enhancing diagnostic accuracy and quality of care. This will be the first study in Pakistan to assess the system's usability, acceptability and effectiveness in improving healthcare outcomes while also evaluating the perceived quality of care. This comprehensive assessment will inform policy development in areas such as the scale-up of digital health interventions, data privacy and technology interoperability.

Context: Simulation based teaching is effective strategy to allow trainees to acquire skills, develop clinical judgment and to become competent in order to manage the patients in a safe environment. The Case-based simulation improves the assessment and management skills of the trainees to prepare them as a competent physician.

Kawasaki disease with profound systemic vascular involvements: An insightful pediatric case.

Key Clinical Message: Kawasaki disease (KD), a self-limiting vasculitis, can present with a broader spectrum of vascular involvements, necessitating early recognition and prompt management. This case exemplifies the importance of involving multiple teams on board in managing complex presentations of KD. It also highlights the importance of close monitoring for the progression of the disease spectrum as well as family education to ensure favorable outcomes.

In this manuscript, we characterize advocacy in global neurosurgery, describe specific neurosurgeon-led initiatives, and delineate how neurosurgeons can become involved in global neurosurgery advocacy efforts. Advocacy in global neurosurgery involves working together in organized neurosurgery with organizations focused on clinical provisions, training, and policy initiatives.
