Genome-wide association studies have identified numerous single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with lung cancer; however, the functions of histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) rs13213007 and HDAC2 in nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain unclear. Here we identified HDAC2 rs13213007 as a risk SNP and showed that HDAC2 was upregulated in both peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and NSCLC tissues with the rs13213007 A/A genotype compared with those with the rs13213007 G/G or G/A genotype. Patient clinical data indicated strong associations between rs13213007 genotype and N classification.

Department of Thoracic Surgery, The Affiliated Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai, 200032, PR China; Cancer Center, Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University, Shanghai, 200032, PR China. Electronic address:

Although anti-programmed cell death 1 (PD1) treatment has become a first-line therapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), most NSCLC patients are refractory to anti-PD1. Here, we aimed to investigate the mechanism of dysregulated circular RNAs (circRNAs) related to anti-PD1 resistance in NSCLC. The expression of circASCC3 (hsa_circ_0077,495) in NSCLC tissues and cell lines was evaluated by fluorescence in situ hybridization and quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.

Recent evidence indicated ubiquitin like with PHD and ring finger domains 2 (UHRF2) was involved in various human diseases, especially in cancer, however, its roles in cancer are still in dispute. Here, we found UHRF2 expression was decreased in lung cancer tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues by referring to the Oncomine Database, which was further identified by immunoblotting and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction assays. Secondly, we found knockdown of UHRF2 in A549 and 95-D cell lines enhanced the capability of proliferation, invasion and migration, while forced UHRF2 expression inhibited NSCLC cells proliferation, invasion and migration.

Deceleration of glycometabolism impedes IgG-producing B-cell-mediated tumor elimination by targeting SATB1.

Immunology

January 2019

Department of Immunology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Fudan University, Shanghai, China.

B lymphocytes, known as antibody producers, mediate tumor cell destruction in the manner of antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity; however, their anti-tumor function seems to be weakened during tumorigenesis, while the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we found that IgG mediated anti-tumor effects, but IgG-producing B cells decreased in various tumors. Considering the underlying mechanism, glycometabolism was noteworthy.
