The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of aerosolized iloprost in treating patients experiencing a pulmonary hypertensive crisis.
Four patients with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension received treatment, and results showed a significant decrease in systolic pulmonary arterial pressure (sPAP) and improved oxygen saturation levels.
While the treatment was effective, some patients experienced adverse events like nausea and diarrhea, leading to treatment discontinuation in one case due to severe side effects.
