Lysophosphatidic acid is a serum-derived growth factor that is involved in wound healing. Although in its infancy, a growing body of evidence has demonstrated that lysophosphatidic acid exerts a potentially significant role in regulating bone cell biology. However, previous studies mainly focused on the osteoinductive potential of lysophosphatidic acid, its effects on bone tissue vascularization, another essential element during bone regeneration, remains ill-defined so far.

Methods: qRT-PCR was used to evaluate 27 samples of fresh TSCC tissues and adjacent normal tongue tissues. siRNA technology was employed to downregulate TUG1 expression in CAL-27 and SCC-9 cell lines.

Objective: To investigate the effect of cetylpyridinium chloride buccal tablets on halitosis induced by oral conditions.
Methods: With Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia and Fusobacterium nucleatum as the testing bacteria, the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of cetylpyridinium chloride buccal tablets was determined using minute amount serial dilution test. The production of volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) was measured using sulfide detector halimeter in the anaerobic bacteria culture at 4 and 8 h after addition of the tablets.

Objective: The morphological characteristics of posterior tooth in the Beagle dog were investigated in order to provide reference to mini-screw implant (MSI) implantation in the root furcation site.
Methods: Seventy posterior teeth of five Beagle dogs were collected and measured as follows: First, the greatest mesio-distal diameter AB of the crown was measured, which was perpendicular to the tooth long axis. Second, mesial cusp of maxillary posterior tooth or central cusp of mandibular was marked as the piont C, and CD which was equal and perpendicular to AB was drawn.
