Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a progressive and irreversible lung disease that leads to diminished lung function, respiratory failure, and ultimately death and typically has a poor prognosis, with an average survival time of 2 to 5 years. Related articles suggested that endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress played a critical role in the occurrence and progression of PF. The ER is responsible for maintaining protein homeostasis.

Electronic address:

Bexarotene, a retinoid X receptor (RXR) agonist, is approved by FDA to treat cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. However, it has also demonstrated promising therapeutic potential for neurological diseases such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, and particularly Alzheimer's disease(AD). In AD, bexarotene inhibits the production and aggregation of amyloid β (Aβ), activates Liver X Receptor/RXR heterodimers to increase lipidated apolipoprotein E to remove Aβ, mitigates the negative impact of Aβ, regulates neuroinflammation, and ultimately improves cognitive function.

Background: Diabetes and thyroid dysfunction are two closely related endocrine diseases. Increasing evidences show that gut microbiota plays an important role in both glucose metabolism and thyroid homeostasis. Meanwhile, copy number variation (CNV) of host salivary -amylase gene (AMY1) has been shown to correlate with glucose homeostasis.

Background: Recently genome-based studies revealed that the abnormality of Hippo signaling is pervasive in TNBC and played important role in cancer progression. RING finger protein 31 (RNF31) comes to RING family E3 ubiquitin ligase. Our previously published studies have revealed RNF31 is elevated in ER positive breast cancer via activating estrogen signaling and suppressing P53 pathway.

Camelid single-domain antibody fragments (nanobodies) are an emerging force in therapeutic biopharmaceuticals and clinical diagnostic reagents in recent years. Nearly all nanobodies available to date have been obtained by animal immunization, a bottleneck restricting the large-scale application of nanobodies. In this study, we developed three kinds of gene designated-region pan-editing (GDP) technologies to introduce multiple mutations in complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) of nanobodies .

The ubiquitination process, which involves that binding of an ubiquitin protein to certain substrates, regulates several human biological processes and human cancers. Several studies report that the abnormal expression of quite a few E3 ubiquitin ligases could play critical role in carcinogenic process and cancer progression. In our current study, we identify UHRF1 (Ubiquitin Like with PHD And Ring Finger Domain 1) is an important regulator for breast cancer growth.

Pegylated recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (PEG-rhG-CSFs) are more commonly and widely used than recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (rhG-CSFs) in preventing chemotherapy-induced neutropenia in patients with stage II-IV breast cancer. To reduce the financial burden on these patients, the corresponding medical insurance directory needs to be revised. To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of PEG-rhG-CSF versus rhG-CSF in patients with stage II-IV breast cancer in central China.

With the emergence of multidrug-resistant and pan-resistant strains, () shows higher treatment failure rates and mortality in clinics. It is more important to develop an effective method for treating infections. The main objectives of this study were to determine the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the mutant prevention concentration (MPC) for eight antimicrobial agents against isolated from different hosts and compare the emergence of resistant mutants between animal strains and human strains.

Preliminary results and emerging data have shown that lipid droplet high (LD ) immunosuppressive cells accumulate in tumour tissues. By tracking and phenotypic profiling of LD cells, we find that LD CD19 , LD CD11b , and LD Ly6G immune cell populations appear in the spleen, thymus, and tumour tissues in a syngeneic tumour model. Using a contact-dependent reporter system, we discover a LD CCR7 immunosuppressive cell population that migrates from tumour tissues to the spleen and thymus.

Department of Microbiology, School of Basic Medical Science, Xinxiang Medical University, Xinxiang, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: The main objectives of the present study were to detect the antimicrobial susceptibility and molecular characteristics of isolated from different hosts and to investigate the possibility of transmission between animals and humans.

Materials And Methods: A total of 189 nonduplicate isolates were collected from hospitals and four species of animals in Henan Province, China. The disk diffusion method was used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and resistance and virulence genes were screened by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
