Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the level of diabetes self-management ability in older patients with type 2 diabetes and analyse its relationship with patient activation. Besides, the mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between the two was assessed in the study.

Methods: Using a cross-sectional design, 200 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were recruited from the community of Yangzhou, China.

In this work, a novel hydrophobic paper (h-paper)-based plasmonic substrate was produced by dropping DS Au nanorods with a narrow range of sizes and morphologies onto h-paper. Raman reporter molecules were adsorbed to the array surface, and surface-enhanced Raman scattering spectra at randomly selected points reveal uniform and significant SERS enhancement.

Introduction: Rocuronium intravenous pain is common in induction of general anesthesia. The aim of our study was to determine the median effective dose (ED) of prophylactic intravenous remifentanil for the prevention of rocuronium injection pain and to explore the effect of age on the ED.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of daratumumab in treatment of multiple myeloma (MM) patients with renal impairment (RI).

Methods: The clinical data of 15 MM patients with RI who received daratumumab-based regimen from January 2021 to March 2022 in three centers were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were treated with daratumumab or daratumumab combined with dexamethasone or daratumumab combined with bortezomib and dexamethasone and the curative effect and survival were analyzed.

To 1) investigate the morphological brain-tissue changes in patients with dialysis- and non-dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD); 2) analyze the effects of CKD on whole-brain cortical thickness, cortical volume, surface area, and surface curvature; and 3) analyze the correlation of these changes with clinical and biochemical indices. This study included normal controls (NCs, n = 34) and patients with CKD who were divided into dialysis (dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease [DD-CKD], n = 26) and non-dialysis (non-dialysis patients who underwent cranial magnetic resonance imaging scans [NDD-CKD], n = 26) groups. Cortical thickness, volume, surface area, and surface curvature in each group were calculated using FreeSurfer software.
