Biomaterials are widely used in regenerative medicine to repair full-thickness skin defect wounds. The adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) shows pro-regenerative properties, however, the biological activity of SVF is suppressed due to the lack of an external scaffold. Tilapia skin, as a sustained and recyclable biomaterial with low immunogenicity, was applied in the preparation of a hydrogel.

Cardiovascular diseases caused by atherosclerosis (AS) seriously damage human health. Nano-photothermal technology has been proven to inhibit the development of vascular inflammation by inhibiting the proliferation of inflammatory macrophages. However, photothermal therapy can inhibit the enrichment of AS macrophages in the early stage, but the inhibitory effect is insufficient in the later stage.

Purpose: To analyze the bone remodeling around the implant 10 years after disk-up sinus reamer(DSR)-based internal sinus floor elevation with implantation and to investigate the influence of different factors on implant retention.
Methods: The clinical and imaging data of patients undergoing DSR-based sinus floor elevation with simultaneous implantation were collected from the Department of Dental Implantology, Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from January 2008 to December 2011. Panoramic film and CBCT were used to measure the changes of bone mass around implant in different periods.
Jaw defects, which can result from a multitude of causes, significantly affect the physical well-being and psychological health of patients. The repair of these infected defects presents a formidable challenge in the clinical and research fields, owing to their intricate and diverse nature. This study aims to develop a personalized bone tissue engineering scaffold that synergistically offers antibacterial and osteogenic properties for treating infected maxillary defects.

Objective: To establish and validate a nomogram model for predicting the risk of cholangiocarcinoma with perineural invasion.
Methods: We retrospectively collected the clinical data of 356 patients with surgically confirmed cholangiocarcinoma, including 98 cases of extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (eCCA), 197 cases of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), and 61 cases of perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (pCCA).
Results: Based on these data, we determined the influencing factors of preoperative perineural invasion risk in patients with cholangiocarcinoma by forward multivariate regression analysis.

Wound healing is a dynamic and complex process in which the microenvironment at the wound site plays an important role. As a common material for wound healing, dressings accelerate wound healing and prevent external wound infections. Hydrogels have become a hot topic in wound-dressing research because of their high water content, good biocompatibility, and adjustable physical and chemical properties.

Bone tissue engineering scaffolds with good mechanical properties and antibiotic-controlled release are powerful strategies for infection treatment. In this study, we prepared polylactic acid (PLA)/nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA) scaffolds with vertical orthogonal and staggered orthogonal structures by applying 3D printing technology.

Diagnostic markers for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) are still needed for screening individuals at risk. In recent years, the machine learning method was used to search for the diagnostic markers of multiple diseases. In this study, we developed and validated a machine learning model to diagnose NAFLD using laboratory indicators.

Using deep learning methods to quickly identify COVID-19 and accurately segment the infected area can help control the outbreak and assist in treatment. Computed tomography (CT) as a fast and easy clinical method, it is suitable for assisting in diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.

Oligoasthenospermia is one of the main causes of infertility in reproductive-age men. This study aimed to explore the feasibility of exogenous testosterone supplemental therapy (TST) for adult male rats with oligoasthenospermia model. The rats (n=40) were randomized equally into 4 groups: control group, model group, low-dose and high-dose groups (n=10, respectively).

Previous studies showed that the dysregulation of miRNAs was closely associated with cancer progression. The aim of this study was to verify whether miR-134, miR-10a, miR-29c, miR-942, miR-93, and miR-218 could inhibit esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cell invasion and migration. ESCC tissue and normal esophageal tissue adjacent to carcinoma from patients (54 cases) undergoing surgery were collected.

Accumulating evidence has suggested the involvement of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) on the acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the unknown function of lncRNA Prostate cancer-associated transcript-1 (PCAT-1) in AML cells. Our data found that PCAT-1 was highly expressed in AML-M1/2 and AML-M3 patients than normal controls and its expression was significantly up-regulated in AML cell lines Kasumi-6 and HL-60.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in retinoblastoma (RB) initiation and progression, aberrant expression of miR-145 had been frequently reported in cancer studies. However, the role and mechanism of its function in RB is still unclear. In this study, our data showed that miR-145 was downregulated in RB tissues and cell lines.

Hexokinase 1 (HK1) and pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) are two key regulators in glycosis and oncogenic markers in cancers. In the present study, we investigated the expression profile by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry and determined their prognostic values in the gastric cancer. Expression of HK1 and PKM2 was remarkably increased in gastric cancer tissues and was significantly associated lymphatic metastasis and advanced TNM staging.

Background: The current study investigated the analgesic effect of the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) specific antagonist TAK-242 on neuropathic pain in rats and its underlying mechanism.
Methods: A total of 132 adult Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into four groups: the sham operation group, the neuropathic pain model group, the TAK-242 low-dose treatment group, and the TAK-242 high-dose treatment group. The heat pain and mechanic pain thresholds of rats were detected on preoperative day 1 and postoperative days 1, 3, 7, and 10.

Objective: To discuss the effect of edaravone on serum pulmonary surfactant protein A (SP-A) and arterial blood gas (ABG) in patients with thoracoscopic lobectomy.
Methods: 40 lung cancer patients with right side of lobectomy were randomly divided into control group (group C, 20 cases) and edaravone group (group E, 20 cases). Group E was treated edaravone (1 mg/kg) between induction and skin incision, dropping within 30 min; group C was treated with equivalent normal saline.
