A case of right fronto-parietal gliosarcoma.

Gliosarcoma (GS) is a rare subtype of glioblastoma multiforme, characterized by a shorter clinical course and poorer prognosis compared to glioblastoma. Here, we report the case of a 50-year-old male patient who presented with episodic loss of consciousness and left-sided limb weakness for one month. MRI revealed a complex neoplastic lesion in the right fronto-parietal region.

AFP shields hepatocellular carcinoma from macrophage phagocytosis by regulating HuR-mediated CD47 translocation in cellular membrane.

Objectives: Alpha fetoprotein(AFP) overexpression connecting with macrophage dysfunction remain poorly defined. In this study, explore AFP regulates macrophage immunomodulation in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) through comprehensive in vitro and in vivo studies.

Methods: Immunohistochemical and immunofluorescence staining was used to analyze the relativity of AFP and cellular membrane CD47 expression in clinical 30 HCC tissues, and the expression of AFP and CD47 in HCC cells.

Spatial-temporal analysis of hepatitis E in Hainan Province, China (2013-2022): insights from four major hospitals.

Objective: Exploring the Incidence, Epidemic Trends, and Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Sporadic Hepatitis E in Hainan Province from 2013 to 2022 through four major tertiary hospitals in the Province.

Methods: We collected data on confirmed cases of hepatitis E in Hainan residents admitted to the four major tertiary hospitals in Haikou City from January 2013 to December 2022. We used SPSS software to analyze the correlation between incidence rate and economy, population density and geographical location, and origin software to draw a scatter chart and SAS 9.

Multisystemic recurrent Langerhans cell histiocytosis misdiagnosed with chronic inflammation at the first diagnosis: A case report.

Background: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is characterized by diabetes insipidus and is an uncommon occurrence. Pathological biopsies still have a certain degree of diagnostic probability. We present a case in which LCH initially affected the pituitary gland.

A case report of Extra-neurologic metastasis of ventricular meningioma with literature review.

Ventricular meningiomas are neoplastic cells originating from the ependymal lining of the central canal of the spinal cord and the ventricles of the brain. These tumorigenic cells predominantly manifest in the fourth ventricle, followed by the spinal cord. Most intraparenchymal ventricular meningiomas are located within the brain tissue, exhibiting a higher degree of malignancy compared to their intracerebroventricular counterparts.

Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI predicts PTEN protein expression which can function as a prognostic measure of progression-free survival in NPC patients.

Objectives: The objective of our study was to investigate whether a phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome 10 (PTEN) expression was associated with dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) parameters and prognosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).

Methods: Two-hundred-and-forty-five (245) patients with NPC who underwent pretreatment biopsy, expression of PTEN detected by immunohistochemistry of biopsy, and radical intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) with or without chemotherapy were included. Tumor segmentations were delineated on pretreatment MRI manually.
