The study aimed to investigate the association of the Muslim religion, as a multidimensional factor, with social pressures related to body image concerns, among Muslim women in Israel. Four hundred and Seventy-five Israeli Muslim women ages between 18 and 30 years completed questionnaire measures of strength of religious faith, wearing a traditional head cover (the Hijab), positive and negative body image, media exposure, societal pressures to conform to Western body ideals and its internalization, from 2016 to 2018. Strength of religious faith and wearing the Hijab were positively associated with positive aspects of body image, while only strength of religious faith negatively correlated with body dissatisfaction.

This study aimed to investigate the association between narcissism and two forms of heavy work investment, namely, workaholism and work engagement. More specifically, it was hypothesized that narcissism is positively associated with both workaholism and work engagement, with workload moderating these relationships, which are expected to be stronger when the workload is high. Overall, 217 workers completed a self-report questionnaire, and the hypothesized relationships were tested using moderated multiple regression.

The aim of this study was to determine the value of the LNR in predicting outcome in patients with MTC.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective multicenter study design of 107 patients with MTC who underwent total thyroidectomy with neck dissection between 1984 and 2016.

Our study aimed to provide a comprehensive description of the endocrine manifestations of SMA patients with variable degree of sarcopenia. Real-life clinical and laboratory data of 62 SMA patients (age range 3 months to 31 years, 24 type 1, 21 type 2, 17 type 3) were collected including: weight-status, self-reported information on puberty, current pubertal stage, Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR), basal gonadotropin and androgen levels.

Objective: Compassion fatigue-that is, secondary traumatic stress (STS) and burnout-is a traumatic emotional state experienced by health care providers and expressed in a reduced capacity to be interested in and empathic to the suffering of others. Compassion fatigue may be related to grief over patients' loss. We examined the relation between grief and compassion fatigue among psycho-oncologists while exploring the impact of social acknowledgment on this association.

Objective: Oncologists are exposed to suffering, loss, and death, which can potentially lead to grief reactions. Although grief over patients may be a natural consequence of the close and longstanding oncologist-patient relationship, the empathy that oncologists feel toward their patients may put them at risk for compassion fatigue (CF). This study examined the mediating role of the two components of CF-secondary traumatic stress (STS) and burnout-in the relation between empathy and grief among oncologists.

Background: Pediatric acquired brain injury may result in a significant gap between the "pre" and "post-injury" child.

Objective: We aimed to quantitatively explore the mechanism underlying parents' loss experience by examining the mediating role of behavioral outcomes (observed-problems and perceived-change) in the relationship between injury severity and grief.

Method: The study employed a cross-sectional retrospective design and comprised 40 parents of children (aged 3-18 years) with moderate-severe brain injury.

Purpose: Oncologists cope with unique work characteristics that increase their risk of developing compassion fatigue-that is, burnout and secondary traumatic stress-and can result in reduced capacity and interest in being empathetic to the suffering of others (Stamm B. The concise ProQOL manual, 2010). At the same time, oncologists can experience compassion satisfaction-that is, the positive aspects of caring.

An increasing amount of empirical attention is focused on adrenocortical synchrony as an index of biobehavioral co-regulation between parent and child in the context of early child development. Working with an ethnically diverse community sample of children (N = 99, 50.5% male, ages 9-12), we collected saliva samples from mother-child dyads prior to and after a laboratory-based performance challenge task, and tested whether maternal overcontrol and child age moderated dyadic synchrony in cortisol.

Recovery from mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and regaining emotional equilibrium afterward can take much longer than the typical three months. Recent works attribute persisting complaints to psychological factors, primarily the negative perception of mTBI. However, research has yet to demonstrate how self-beliefs concerning capability are linked to perception and ability to accept injury.
