Purpose: The overall diagnostic value of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) is not as excellent as that of core needle biopsy (CNB). Limited research has investigated small cervical lymph nodes inaccessible to ultrasound-guided CNB due to technical challenges associated with their small size. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of ultrasound-guided FNA in determining the etiology of small cervical lymph nodes.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) shares similar immune characteristics with autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). However, such associations have not yet been investigated at the single-cell level.
Methods: We integrated and analyzed RNA sequencing results from different patients and normal controls from the GEO database and identified subsets of immune cells that might involve in the pathogenesis of SLE and COVID- 19.

Objective: To investigate the effect of expression level changes of monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (M-MDSC) to related immune function in the patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
Methods: Peripheral blood samples were collected from 53 newly diagnosed ITP patients and 30 healthy volunteers. The quantity of M-MDSC, mRNA levels of Arg-1 and iNOS were detected.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which induced mainly the respiratory damage also caused ocular surface symptoms. However, the detailed description of ocular manifestations, severity fluctuations in confirmed COVID-19 adult patients still lacked. We analyzed onset clinical symptoms and duration, ocular symptoms, needs for medication, outcomes in 28 conjunctivitis patients who were extracted from 3198 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Huoshenshan Hospital and Taikangtongji Hospital, Wuhan, China.

The circular (circ)RNAs are a newly recognized group of noncoding (nc)RNAs. Research to characterize the functional features of circRNAs has uncovered distinctive profiles of conservation, stability, specificity and complexity. However, a new line of evidence has indicated that although circRNAs can function as ncRNAs, such as in the role of miRNA sponges, they are also capable of coding proteins.

Paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity (PSH) has predominantly been described after traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is associated with hyperthermia, hypertension, tachycardia, tachypnea, diaphoresis, dystonia (hypertonia or spasticity), and even motor features such as extensor/flexion posturing. Despite the pathophysiology of PSH not being completely understood, most researchers gradually agree that PSH is driven by the loss of the inhibition of excitation in the sympathetic nervous system without parasympathetic involvement. Recently, advances in the clinical and diagnostic features of PSH in TBI patients have reached a broad clinical consensus in many neurology departments.

Objective: To investigate the role of myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC) in the prognosis of patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
Methods: The peripheral blood of 52 DLBCL patients and 30 healthy volunteers was collected. The CD14HLA-DR was used as the immune marker for MDSC.
