Sequential versus concomitant treatment of androgen receptor signaling inhibitors and docetaxel for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer: an network meta-analysis.

Background: Androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSis), when administered sequentially or in combination with docetaxel and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), have been shown to enhance overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC). Nonetheless, the optimal sequence for administering chemotherapy and ARSis remains to be determined.

Objective: To compare the efficacy of ARSis sequential therapy with ARSis combined therapy for mHSPC, and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of different combination regimens.

[Study on the correlation between fatty liver index and the outcome of high normal blood pressure].

To analyze the correlation between fatty liver index (FLI) and the outcomes of individuals with high normal blood pressure. In this retrospective cohort study, data from the follow-up population of the Beijing branch of the Risk Evaluation of Cancers in Chinese Diabetic Individuals: A Longitudinal (REACTION) study conducted from December 2011 to August 2012 were selected. Obtain indicators such as height, weight, waist circumference, fasting blood glucose, 2-h postprandial blood glucose, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and glutamyl transpeptidase were measured, and the FLI was calculated.

Association between sex hormone-binding globulin and kidney function in men: results from the SPECT-China study.

Background: The association between sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and renal function has rarely been reported in men. We aimed to investigate the above association in a community-based Chinese population.

Methods: A total of 5027 men were included from the survey on prevalence for metabolic diseases and risk factors, which is a population-based study conducted from 2014 to 2016 in Eastern China.

To observe the effect of febuxostat on epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of kidney tubules and the levels of serum IL-6 nad transforming growth factor (TGF)β(1) in hyperuricemic rats. Forty male SD rats were divided into 4 groups: normal control group (NC group), oteracil potassium group (OP group), oteracil potassium with febuxostat group (OF group) and oteracil potassium with benzbromarone group (OB group). Each group had 10 rats and balanced in body weights.

Correlation between the genetic polymorphism of ORMDL3 gene and asthma risk: a meta-analysis.

This meta-analysis aimed to assess the association between the ORMDL3 rs7216389 polymorphism and the risk of asthma. An extensive literature search for relevant studies was conducted in PubMed, Embase, the Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Google Scholar.

[Study on phenotypic and genotypic characterization of clinical multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli isolates].

Objective: To study the mechanisms on drug susceptibility and resistance of clinically multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli isolates, to provide information on related treatment.

Methods: The susceptibility of E. coli strains that isolated from different kinds of samples in the last 3 years on drugs was analyzed by agar dilution test, with strains that exhibiting resistances to cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin and amikacin simultaneously collected for further analysis.
