infection exhibits a wide disease spectrum ranging from asymptomatic gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, to gastric cancer. can induce dysbiosis of gastric microbiota in the pathway of carcinogenesis and successful eradication can restore gastric homeostasis. Diagnostic testing and treatment for infection is recommended in patients with active or past history of peptic ulcer, chronic dyspepsia, chronic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) or aspirin use, precancerous gastric lesions, gastric cancer, mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, family history of gastric cancer, family history of peptic ulcers, household family member having active infection, iron deficiency anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, or vitamin B12 deficiency.

A cross-linked sulfonated polyether ether ketone (C-SPEEK) was incorporated with MXene/potassium titanate nanowire (MKT-NW) as a filler and applied as a proton exchange membrane for photocatalytic water splitting. The prepared hybrid composite PEM had proton conductivity of 0.0097 S cm at room temperature with an ion exchange capacity of 1.

Thailand is known to be a part of what is called the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot, hosting a vast array of organisms across its diverse ecosystems. This is reflected by the increasing number of new species described over time, especially fungi. However, a very few fungal species from the specialized spider-parasitic genus have ever been reported from this region.

Objectives: The objective of this systematic review is to determine the effects of difference exercise programs on back shape/posture, balance, falling and fear of falling in older adults with hyperkyphosis.
Background And Aim: Fibrotic stage (FS) assessment is essential in chronic hepatitis C treatment cascade. Liver stiffness measurement (LSM) using transient elastography (TE) is reliable and correlated with liver biopsy. However, TE may not be widely available.

A novel ascomycete genus, , occurring on leaf litter of in Dahu Forest Area in Chiayi, Taiwan is described and illustrated. is characterized by dark mycelium covering the upper leaf surface, elongate mycelial pellicle with ring of setae, pale brown to brown peridium, broadly obovoid, short pedicellate asci and hyaline, fusiform, elongated (tapering ends) and multi-septate ascospores with a thin mucilaginous sheath. Phylogenetic analyses of combined ITS, LSU and SSU sequence data revealed as a distinct genus within the Chaetothyriaceae with high bootstrap support.

Synthesis of new polyesters by acyclic diene metathesis (ADMET) polymerization of α,ω-diene, 4-allyl-2-methoxyphenyl 10-undecenoate (M1), prepared from bio-renewable eugenol and castor oil (undecenoate), have been demonstrated. Ruthenium-carbene (called second generation Grubbs) catalyst afforded polymers with unimodal molecular weight distributions ( = 12 700, / = 1.85).

The impact of treatment with NSBB on modulating transient elastography (TE) has not been reported. The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of NSBB treatment on TE in early cirrhotic patients.

Malaria is one of the most important public health problems in tropical areas on the globe. Several factors are associated with susceptibility to malaria and disease severity, including innate immunity such as blood group, hemoglobinopathy, and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) polymorphisms. This study was carried out to investigate association among ABO blood group, thalassemia types and HO-1 polymorphisms in malaria.

Hep88 mAbs, a novel monoclonal antibodies against hepatocellular carcinoma cell line from Thai patient, has been proved earlier for its tumoricidal effect on HepG2 cell line. In the present study, we investigated not only Hep88 mAb's targeted proteins from HepG2 cell line by western blot analysis but also its inhibitory activity on those cells by MTT assay. Moreover the ultrastructural alteration induced by Hep88 mAb of HepG2 cell line compare with Chang liver cell line was also examined.

Background: Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is a common problem in neonates and affects 60% of Asian newborn babies which is twice that found in Caucasians. These findings suggest that a genetic factor might be involved. Recently, a relationship between polymorphisms of the bilirubin uridine 5-diphosphate-glucuronosyltransferase (UGTA1) gene and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia has been reported.
