Airborne pesticide drift poses a substantial environmental threat in agriculture, affecting ecosystems far from the application sites. This process, in which up to 25% of applied pesticides are carried by air currents, can transport chemicals over hundreds or even thousands of kilometers. Drift rates peak during the summer months, reaching as high as 60%, and are influenced by various factors, including wind speed, temperature, humidity, and soil type.

Atomically precise metal nanoclusters (NCs) can be compositionally controlled at the single-atom level, but understanding structure-property correlations is required for tailoring specific optical properties. Here, the impact of Ni atom doping on the optical, structural, and electrochemical properties of atomically precise 1,3-benzene dithiol (BDT) protected Ag NCs is studied. The Ni-doped Ag (NiAg(BDT)) NCs, are synthesized using a co-reduction method and characterized using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI MS), ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Background: Miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) has emerged as a noteworthy non-surgical method for treating maxillary transverse deficiency, especially in young adult patients. Studies have shown that MARPE can achieve significant dentoalveolar and skeletal expansion with long-term stability. The primary objective of this study was to assess the skeletal changes in the maxillary transverse dimension, and the secondary objective was to evaluate the dentoalveolar changes, following the use of a commercially available maxillary skeletal expander (MSE) in comparison to a custom-fabricated MARPE.

The co-precipitation method was used to prepare CuO, ZnO, CoO nanoparticles and CuO-ZnO-CoO nanocomposite. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of the prepared samples were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and zeta potential. XRD analysis revealed that the crystal structures of CuO, ZnO, and CoO nanoparticles are monoclinic, hexagonal, and cubic, with average crystallite sizes of 30.

Purpose: Monitoring progress towards universal health coverage (UHC) has become increasingly important, especially given the centrality of UHC in achieving the sustainable development goals. We sought to estimate the progress towards UHC in the 22 Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries.
Methods: Employing the Joint World Bank and World Health Organization Framework for Monitoring UHC, we estimated the UHC index for MENA countries using both service coverage and financial protection indicators.

Objectives: Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and tinnitus are highly prevalent conditions, that affects about 10-30% of the adult population and seem to co-exist. The primary objective of this systematic review was to investigate any associations between TMD and tinnitus. The secondary objective was to investigate if the associations differ between painful and non-painful TMDs.
