Medicinal plants serve as vital resources for preventing and treating diseases, with their flowers, fruits, leaves, roots, or entire plants being utilized in the pharmaceutical industry or as direct therapeutic agents. During our investigation of microfungi associated with medicinal plants in Guizhou and Sichuan Provinces, China, several asexual and sexual fungal morphs were collected. Multi-locus phylogenetic analysis based on combined ITS, LSU, SSU and datasets revealed that these taxa are related to the family Dictyosporiaceae.

Hyaluronidases have been a subject of great interest in medical and cosmeceutical applications. Previously, our group demonstrated that the venom glands of contain hyaluronidase enzymes (VesT2s), and heterologous expression of the corresponding gene () in systems results in inclusion bodies, necessitating functional folding using urea. Here, we report the successful heterologous expression of VesT2a in the expression system, with gene construction achieved using Golden.

Accurate human action recognition is becoming increasingly important across various fields, including healthcare and self-driving cars. A simple approach to enhance model performance is incorporating additional data modalities, such as depth frames, point clouds, and skeleton information, while previous studies have predominantly used late fusion techniques to combine these modalities, our research introduces a multi-level fusion approach that combines information at early, intermediate, and late stages together. Furthermore, recognizing the challenges of collecting multiple data types in real-world applications, our approach seeks to exploit multimodal techniques while relying solely on RGB frames as the single data source.

Temporal action proposal generation is a method for extracting temporal action instances or proposals from untrimmed videos. Existing methods often struggle to segment contiguous action proposals, which are a group of action boundaries with small temporal gaps. To address this limitation, we propose incorporating an attention mechanism to weigh the importance of each proposal within a contiguous group.

This study aimed to generate Car- and Pac-resistant cell lines from the human lung adenocarcinoma H1792 cell line, designated as H1792/Car and H1792/Pac, and perform transcriptome sequencing to identify potential targets. Common differentially expressed genes (Co-DEGs) in both resistant cell lines were identified, followed by hub gene identification. Online validation was conducted through GEPIA and Kaplan-Meier Plotter platforms, with experimental validation performed using real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR).

: Conventional audiometry assesses hearing in the frequency range of 250-8000 Hz, while humans can detect sounds from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Hearing sensitivity above 8000 Hz can be assessed through "Extended high-frequency audiometry (EHFA)", which is useful for early detection and monitoring of hearing loss and counseling for tinnitus patients. Despite its usefulness, age significantly affects hearing sensitivity.
