Cultural Interdiscursivity in Managing Corporate Discourse: A Corpus Analysis.

Corporate discourse offers a prime site for the study of interdiscursive performance across linguistic and cultural boundaries. However, there is a dearth of quantitative studies to assess cultural interdiscursivity in corporate discourse. Taking advantage of an LDA model and a dispersion formula, this study provides a corpus-based measurement of the interdiscursivity of corporate cultures as expressed within MD&A texts.

Background: Liver cirrhosis represents a critical stage of chronic liver disease, characterized by progressive liver damage, cellular dysfunction, and disrupted cell-to-cell interactions. Glycosylation, an essential post-translational modification, significantly influences cellular behavior and disease progression. Its role in cirrhosis at the single-cell level remains unclear, despite its importance.

Regulation of Liquid Self-Transport Through Architectural-Thermal Coupling: Transitioning From Free Surfaces to Open Channels.

In this work, the regulation of liquid self-transport is achieved through architectural and thermal coupling, transitioning from free surfaces to open channels. Hierarchical structures inspired by the skin of a Texas horned lizard are designed, with the primary structure of wedged grooves and the secondary structure of capillary crura. This design enables advantages including long-distance self-transport, liquid storage and active reflux management on free surfaces, directional transportation, synthesis and detection of reagents in confined spaces, as well as controllable motion and enhanced heat dissipation in open channels.

Unraveling Various Sources of Particulates Matter in Air-Dust Samples Collected from North India Through Elemental Mapping and Concentration Correlation Using Micro-Particle-Induced X-Ray Emission Spectroscopy.

Particulate matter (PM) found in the air is one of the major sources of pollution and air-borne diseases. Therefore, it is imperative to examine the elemental concentration distribution of the PM to identify the pollutant sources. In this study, it has demonstrated the capabilities of micro-particle-induced X-ray emission (micro-PIXE) spectroscopy in quantitative analysis of air samples collected from the Old Delhi outdoor market and indoor locations in the Panjab University hostel in the winter months.

Role of Kctd13 in modulating AR and SOX9 expression in different penile cell populations.

Objective: Micropenis is a condition with significant physical and psychological implications caused mainly by decreased androgen action in penile development. Kctd13-knockout (Kctd13-KO) mice have micropenis, cryptorchidism, and fertility defects because of reduced levels of androgen receptor (AR) and SOX9. We hypothesized that normalizing the levels of AR and SOX9 in the Kctd13-KO penis could help us to understand the mechanism of action of these signaling pathways on penile development.

The Modified Coronally Advanced Tunnel Technique for Coverage of Mucosal Recessions at Dental Implants.

Objectives: To clinically evaluate the outcomes following surgical coverage of single peri-implant mucosal recessions in the aesthetic maxillary area by means of the modified coronally advanced tunnel (MCAT) and subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG).

Materials And Methods: Eleven systemically healthy non-smoking patients (8 females) each presenting a single peri-implant mucosal recession in the anterior maxillary region were consecutively treated with MCAT in conjunction with SCTG. In all cases, the facial recession was associated with an impaired aesthetic appearance.

Material And Methods: Thirty implants were divided into three groups (n = 10), based on connection systems: Interference-fit cone-screw (Cortical Master Flash MI Fit-MTA and Cortical Master Flash MI RP-MTB), and Internal hexagon (Cortical Titanium Master Connect AR-IH). Metal-based zirconia abutments were tightened into the implant, and zirconia crowns were bonded using resin cement.

A Novel Report of Müllerian (Vaginal/Uterine) Agenesis in a Newborn Girl With LUMBAR Syndrome.

LUMBAR syndrome is characterized by lower body segmental infantile hemangiomas, urogenital abnormalities/hemangioma ulceration, spinal cord malformations, bony deformities, anorectal malformations/arterial anomalies, and/or renal anomalies. Here we present an infant girl with LUMBAR syndrome who was also discovered to have Müllerian agenesis, defined as absent uterus or nonfunctional uterine remnants. While vaginal and uterine duplications are included among the diagnostic criteria for LUMBAR syndrome, this is the first case of associated Mullerian agenesis.

Metastatic Hobnail Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Initially Diagnosed by Pleural Effusion: Case Report of a Rare and Intriguing Entity.

Hobnail papillary thyroid carcinoma (HNPTC) is an unusual and aggressive variant of PTC. Malignant pleural effusion secondary to thyroid carcinoma is a rare event reported in less than 1% of cases. Herein we present a case of metastatic HNPTC initially diagnosed by pleural effusion cytology, with a very poor outcome.

Background: Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) can compensate for the dosimetric impact of anatomic change during radiotherapy of head-neck cancer (HNC) patients. However, implementing ART universally poses challenges in clinical workflow and resource allocation, given the variability in patient response and the constraints of available resources. Therefore, the prediction of anatomical change during radiotherapy for HNC patients is of importance to optimize patient clinical benefit and treatment resources.
