Purpose Of Review: A life-limiting fetal diagnosis (LLD) refers to a medical condition identified during pregnancy that is expected to lead to stillbirth, preclude ex utero survival, or significantly reduce neonatal life expectancy. The terms 'lethal' or 'life-limiting' are used to prognosticate early death for various anatomic or physiologic causes, although the expected timeframe is nonspecific. The purpose of this manuscript is to review how the terms 'lethal' or 'life limiting' are used in contemporary perinatal research.

Lung cancer mortality among aircraft manufacturing workers with long-term, low-level, hexavalent chromium exposure.

Hexavalent chromium (CrVI) is known to cause lung cancer among workers exposed to high concentrations in certain historical industries. It is also a toxic air contaminant considered to pose a potentially significant cancer risk at comparatively low concentrations in urban air. However, very limited data currently exist to quantify risk at low-concentration occupational or environmental exposures.

Systematic review of international ethics knowledge in the speech-language pathology literature (1980-2022).

Purpose: A systematic review was conducted to describe various viewpoints expressed in speech-language pathology literature over four decades concerning ethics knowledge in the profession.

Method: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were employed. Our sample search encompassed peer-reviewed journal articles sourced from electronic databases including MEDLINE, CINAHL, ERIC, MasterFILE Premier, E-Journals, Africa-Wide Information, and Academic Search Premier, spanning the period from 1980 to 2022.

To our knowledge, there is limited molecular research on the gulf's cyanoHABs, and thus, the strategies employed for survival and proliferation by toxigenic cyanobacteria in this region remain largely unexplored. Here, we used metagenomics to analyze the Winam Gulf's cyanobacterial composition, function, and biosynthetic potential.

The accuracy of a patient-specific femoral planning and delivery system for total hip arthroplasty.

Introduction: A primary objective when performing a total hip arthroplasty (THA) is to restore hip biomechanics in accordance with a chosen surgical plan. The aim of this study was to assess the accuracy of a 3D-printed patient-specific guide for delivering a planned femoral osteotomy for both a posterior and an anterior approach.

Methodology: 40 patients (20 anterior and 20 posterior) scheduled for THA received a preoperative work-up allowing for patient-specific implant sizing and positioning.

Methods: Acrylic resin teeth of A1 and A3 were randomly assigned into seven groups to be restored with single-shade RBCs and universal-shade RBCs, shades A1 and A3. Standardized Class V cavities were restored using RBC and underwent accelerated aging for 480 hours.

Solvent toxicity limits -butanol fermentation titer, increasing the cost and energy consumption for subsequent separation processes and making biobased production more expensive and energy-intensive than petrochemical approaches. Amphiphilic solvents such as -butanol partition into the cell membrane of fermenting microorganisms, thinning the transverse structure, and eventually causing a loss of membrane potential and cell death. A Preliminary Investigation of Thermally Stable Schiff Base Metal Complexes for Hyperthermia: Synthesis and Biological Evaluation.

A novel Schiff base ligand (L), bearing NO donor sites, was derived from the condensation of 5-chloromethylisophthaldehyde and phenylpropanolamine (PPA). Mononuclear Co(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes were synthesized and were characterized by FTIR, UV-Vis, H NMR, ESI-mass spectroscopy, molar conductance, and thermal and electrochemical studies.
