Introduction The cushion effect of soft liners serves to distribute the mastication forces and stresses more evenly, along with absorbing energy. Instead, soft liners can act as a nidus for microbial growth, especially Candida species. An accumulation of these fungi is a problem encountered during the clinical use of them, especially in immunocompromised individuals.

A novel classification system, termed the Sivan classification, was developed to enhance the diagnosis of jaw lesions by utilizing visual volumetric analysis of three-dimensional Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) images. This classification groups lesions into ten categories, primarily divided into hypovolumetric, hypervolumetric, and normovolumetric groups. To validate this system, 10 raters-comprising 5 general dentists and 5 oral radiology specialists-assessed the CBCT images and diagnosed the lesions using the Sivan classification.

Introduction: The primary objective of this study was to assess the 3-dimensional position of the mandibular canal (MC) in different craniofacial patterns to know about the safe placement of temporary skeletal anchorage devices using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The secondary objectives were to assess sex differences and correlate the MC position with various factors.
Methods: This prospective, observational study was conducted on 90 patients, divided into 3 groups based on the sagittal pattern: skeletal Class I, Class II, and Class III.

Periodontitis (PD) is a pathological condition that results in chronic swelling in the tissue around a tooth, which results in advanced periodontal structural injury to the encircling soft and hard tissues with eventual exfoliation and movement of teeth. It affects around 60% of the world's population, indicating a relatively high prevalence. Therefore, the discovery of efficient therapeutic interventions for dental disorders is a primary goal of the health sciences, and periodontitis is a significant public health problem.

Background Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that alters the alveolar bone structure, requiring treatment ranging from non-surgical to surgical periodontal therapies based on its severity. Surgical interventions, such as the modified Widman flap procedure and the open flap technique combined with methods like platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), guided tissue regeneration (GTR), and bone grafts, aim to reduce periodontal pockets and regenerate lost tissues. The presence of pathogenic bacteria and the absence of beneficial bacteria contribute to periodontitis, with probiotics-live microorganisms that offer health benefits emerging as a promising adjunct in periodontal therapy.

Background Radiopacity is a critical property for root canal sealers as it allows for the assessment of the material's placement and quality within the root canal system on radiographic images. The study aimed to evaluate the radiopacity of calcium silicate-based and resin-based materials using direct digital radiography, employing an aluminium step wedge according to American National Standards Institute/International Organization for Standardization (ANSI/ISO) standard protocols for testing the radiopacity of root canal sealers. This study seeks to determine the effectiveness of these materials in meeting the required standards for clinical use.

The most prevalent mucogingival issues include insufficient gingival width, decreased vestibular depth, abnormal frenal attachment, gingival recession, pockets that reach the mucogingival junction, excess gingival, inconsistent gingival margin, excessive gingival display and abnormal gingival colour. Numerous periodontal plastic operations have been used to treat these issues. However, each approach has its own drawbacks and is technique-dependent.

Background: Apexification is a procedure that promotes apical closure by forming mineralized tissue in the apex region of a nonvital young permanent tooth. Calcium silicate-based cement like Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and Biodentine are commonly employed as apical barriers to facilitate this process. Microleakage, defined as the leakage along the junction between the canal wall and filling material, is a crucial aspect to assess in MTA and Biodentine applications as apical barriers, as it directly impacts the prevention of bacterial seepage and maintenance of structural integrity.

Objective: To enhance the survival rate of atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) restorations using (class I and class II) bilayer technique of placing glass ionomer cement (GIC) along with nanofilled coating (NC) over the restorations, thereby improving longevity.
Study Design: A total of 178 primary molars in 67 children were selected and randomly divided into four groups. Group IA was treated with a single layer of GIC, followed by a protective layer of petroleum jelly in class I restoration.

Background And Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of three-point acupressure therapy in decreasing the dental anxiety in children undergoing dental procedures and to introduce acupressure as a simple, noninvasive, and cost-effective technique of reducing dental anxiety in children.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and sixty-eight, 8-12 years participants who met the inclusion criteria were randomly allotted to either group I (three-point acupressure) ( = 84) or group II (control) ( = 84). All children were subjected to a self-report measure of anxiety [Modified Child Dental Anxiety Scale (MCDAS)] 30 minutes before starting and after completing the dental treatment.

Background And Aim: A new concept of antibiotic sterilization has come into existence which can be used to sterilize the demineralized portion of the teeth with minimal or ultraconservative excavation of caries in deep dentinal carious lesions as an alternative for indirect pulp therapy (IPT) and pulpotomy to avoid further complications. This study was undertaken to compare the success rates of antibiotic sterilization, indirect pulp treatment, and pulpotomy in the management of primary teeth with deep carious lesion.
Materials And Methods: Ninety teeth involving deep carious lesions approaching pulp in primary molars were selected and randomly divided into three groups containing 30 teeth.

In situations where pulp degeneration and carious lesions may coexist, pulp therapy is a regularly employed method. Mineral trioxide aggregate, a material that is now utilized for indirect pulp treatment (IPT), is nontoxic and nonmutagenic. There is proof that the restoration margin can be sealed to manage the caries lesion.

Aim: To evaluate and compare the sorption and solubility of two different core buildup materials in different pH media for periods of one day, one week, and one month.
Materials And Method: Sixty samples were prepared and divided into Group A (30 resin-based samples) and Group B (30 glass ionomer cement (GIC)-based samples). The sorption and solubility of the different materials were calculated by weighing the samples before and after desiccation and media immersion for periods of one day, one week, and one month.
