Background: Data about the safety and the efficacy of flow diversion for distal anterior cerebral artery (DACA) aneurysms are limited. We present the largest multicenter analysis evaluating the outcomes of flow diversion in unruptured DACA aneurysm treatment.
Methods: Databases from 39 centers were retrospectively reviewed for unruptured DACA aneurysms treated with flow-diverting stents.

Background And Objective: Prostate cancer (PCa) was the leading incident cancer and 3rd leading cause of cancer death in men in France in 2015 with inter-regional disparities. The objectives were to describe PCa incidence and mortality in France and by region, using real life data from the National Health Data System and to identify the factors associated with all-cause or PCa-specific mortality.
Methods: Men aged ≥ 18years hospitalized and/or on long-term care for PCa (ICD-10 code C61) in France between 2010 and 2021 were included.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major public health concern globally, with significant implications for morbidity, mortality, and long-term disability. While extensive research has been conducted on TBI management in high-income countries, limited attention has been given to the specific challenges and opportunities faced by healthcare systems in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). This perspective study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current status of TBI management in SSA, focusing on the unique challenges and potential opportunities for improvement.

Background: This study aims to appraise aneurysm scores and ratios' ability to discriminate between ruptured aneurysms and unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) in subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) patients harboring multiple intracranial aneurysms (MICAs). We, then, investigate the most frequent risk factors associated with MICAs.
Methods: We retrospectively applied unruptured intracranial aneurysm treatment score (UIATS) and population hypertension age size of aneurysm earlier SAH from another aneurysm site of aneurysm (PHASES) score, aspect, and dome-to-neck ratio to the 59 consecutive spontaneous SAH patients with MICAs admitted between January 2000 and December 2015 to the Department of Neurosurgery of the University Hospital Center "Hôpital des Spécialités" of Rabat (Morocco).

Background: The prediction of raised Intracranial Pressure (ICP) with accuracy in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) patients is a clinically important decision and therapeutic tool. This study aimed to evaluate the existing methods used for non-invasive ICP monitoring in TBI patients in LMICs.
Methods: Systematic searches of PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect were performed from database inception to November 2021.

Background: The French national authority for health (HAS) develops in-hospital indicators for improving quality of care, safety and patient outcome. Since 2017, it has developed a measurement of surgical site infections (SSI) after total hip or knee arthroplasty (TH/KA) by using a computerized indicator, called ISO-ORTHO, based on a hospital discharge database (HDD) algorithm. The aim of the study was to assess the performance of this new indicator .

Background: It is unclear whether delays in care affect prognosis of patients with lung cancer. The primary objective of this study was to describe the care pathway of patients diagnosed with lung cancer in a French region. Secondary objectives were to identify markers associated with 1) time from imaging to treatment and 2) with 1-year survival.

Purpose: To describe the types of strabismus operated on, the surgical procedures performed, and the 2-year reoperation rate in France.
Methods: Entire population 5-year cross-sectional analysis of a national medico-administrative database in France between January 2013 and December 2017 included all patients who underwent a first strabismus surgery, with a 2-year follow-up. Patient identification was based on the diagnostic codes of the 10th International Classification of Diseases and surgical procedures on the codes of the Common Classification of Medical Acts.

Vertebral osteomyelitis (VO) represents 4-10% of bone and joint infections. In Western countries, its incidence seems to increase, simultaneously with an increasing number of comorbidities among an ageing population. This study aimed to assess the evolution of VO epidemiology in France over the 2010-2019 decade.

Objective: The French National Authority for Health (HAS), with a multidisciplinary working group, developed an indicator 'ISO-ORTHO' to assess surgical site infections (SSIs) after total hip arthroplasty or total knee arthroplasty (THA/TKA) based on the hospital discharge database. We present the ISO-ORTHO indicator designed for SSI automated detection and its relevance for quality improvement and hospital benchmarks.
Methods: The algorithm is based on a combination of (ICD-10) and procedure codes of the hospital stay.

Objectives: To build a detection algorithm of non-accidental pediatric burns (NAB) using hospital resumes from the French Hospital Discharge Database (HDD) and to describe cases with no judicial or administrative report.
Materials And Methods: Children aged 0-16 years old hospitalized at the University Hospital of Tours from 2012 to 2017 with a coded burn were included. "Probable" or "possible" HDD cases of NAB were defined based on the International Classification of Diseases 10th version codes during the inclusion stay or the previous year.

Background: To study the cesarean section (c-section) practices in the French Centre-Val de Loire region: incidence of planned c-section and rate variations between maternities, incidence of potentially avoidable cesarean sections.
Methods: The data were extracted from the 2016 regional birth register, which permitted classification of each planned c-section according to the pre-existing risk of c-section (high or low) as defined by the Robson classification. To enhance the data, especially the indications for c-section, which are not included in the register, a survey was conducted from September 2016 to February 2017 in all of the 20 maternities in the region.

Aim: To describe trends in antibiotic (AB) prescriptions in children in primary care over 11 years, using a large data warehouse.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study assessed outpatient AB prescriptions 2007-2017, using the Massachusetts Health Disparities Repository. The evolution of paediatric outpatient AB prescriptions was assessed using time-series analyses through annual per cent change (APC) for the population and for children with or without comorbid condition.

Background: In France, the most severe bone and joint infections (BJI), called "complex" (CBJI), are assessed in a multidisciplinary team meeting (MTM) in a reference center. However, the definition of CBJI, drawn up by the Health Ministry, is not consensual between physicians. The objective was to estimate the agreement for CBJI classification.

We described the initial experience of four referral centers in the treatment of primary obstructive megaureter (POM) in children, by high-pressure balloon dilatation (HPBD) of the ureterovesical junction with double JJ stenting. We managed a retrospective multicenter study to assess its effectiveness in long-term. We reviewed the medical records of all children who underwent HPBD for POM that require surgical treatment from May 2012 to December 2017 in four different institutions.

Background: With the rapid adoption of the robotic surgery, more and more learning curve (LC) papers are being published but there is no set definition of what should constitute a rigorous analysis and represent a true LC. A systematic review of the robotic surgical literature was undertaken to determine the range and heterogeneity of parameters reported in studies assessing the LC in robotic surgery.
Methods: The search was conducted in July 2017 in PubMed.

Introduction: Few studies have evaluated the learning curve (LC) for robot-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty (RALP) for ureteropelvic junction obstruction in children. It was attempted to assess the LC of this procedure using a multi-outcome approach, accounting for patient complexity.
Material And Methods: Data on the first series of children undergoing RALP between November 2007 and December 2017 at the study institution were prospectively collected.
