De Quervain disease (DQVD) is one of the most common causes of lateral wrist pain and can lead to significant disability. The current case involves a right-handed, middle-aged, female patient with severe lateral wrist pain due to DQVD. Her pain was not responsive to oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, rehabilitation, and repeated corticosteroid injections.

Fracture of the nasal septum is a common injury. Fracture reduction using Ash forceps is the standard treatment for non-severely comminuted cases. Background: Psoriasis usually precedes the onset of psoriatic arthritis by an average of 10 years in about 70% of patients. Receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) is a natural and necessary surface-bound molecule, which is a ligand for osteoprotegrin and functions as a key factor for osteoclast differentiation and activation.
Objective: Evaluation of the serum level of RANKL in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and its correlation with severity of the disease as a trial to predict the occurrence of psoriatic arthritis in such patients.

Objective: To develop an algorithm for selecting the optimal endoscopic approach for benign sphenoid lesions.
Methods: Charts of 392 patients were reviewed and categorised according to disease nature and extent as follows: group 1 comprised isolated sphenoid sinus lesion cases, group 2 consisted of pansinus lesion cases and group 3 comprised lateral sphenoid recess lesion cases. Surgical approaches, difficulties and complications were noted.

Objective: To evaluate the correction of different degrees of penile torsion following a ladder step so that simpler steps are used whenever possible. This can avoid the morbidity and complications of complex procedures.
Patients And Methods: Cases of congenital and acquired penile torsion were repaired on a ladder step basis irrespective of the degree of torsion, starting with degloving and skin realignment, then a dorsal dartos flap and finally corporopexy.

Objectives: To compare the clinical efficacy of the on-demand use of four drugs in the management of patients with premature ejaculation (PE), as the off-label use of selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors and topical penile anaesthetics is frequently indicated for the management of patients with PE, and tramadol HCl and sildenafil citrate were also tried for managing this disorder, but with recommendations based on weak evidence.
Patients And Methods: This was a single-centre, single-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial conducted on 150 patients who had PE for >1 year. Patients were randomised equally into five groups.

Patients And Methods: Sixty-five patients with thyroid swelling were included. There were 20 cases of simple multinodular goiter (group I), 15 cases of follicular adenoma (group II) and 30 cases of thyroid cancer (group III).

The first group (50 children) had otitis media with effusion associated with adenoid hypertrophy, whereas the second group (50 children) had adenoid hypertrophy without middle ear effusion.

The objective of the study is to conduct a prospective trial investigating the possible role of bacterial biofilms in the pathogenesis of severe idiopathic childhood epistaxis. This study included 84 cases of severe idiopathic epistaxis, aged below 16 years, who were prepared for cautery under general anesthesia. A nasal swab was taken for bacterial culture and a nasal mucosal specimen (≤ 3 mm(2)) was taken from the suspected site of bleeding just prior to cautery and sent for bacterial identification by pathogen specific fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and also for detection of bacterial biofilms by scanning electron microscope (SEM).

Objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of using stents after endoscopic repair of bilateral posterior choanal atresia. Twenty cases of congenital bilateral posterior choanal atresia were managed by endoscopic transnasal approach which was performed using a nasal stent in 10 cases and without stenting in the other 10 cases. The stent was left for 4 weeks and patients had 1-5 years of follow-up.

Background And Aim: To evaluate the role of chemokine CC ligand 20 (CCL20) as a biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Patients And Methods: Ninety patients in four groups were enrolled in this prospective cross-sectional study: 30 with HCC (group I), 30 with liver cirrhosis (group II), 15 with hepatitis C virus infection (group III), and 15 healthy blood donors as controls. Alpha fetoprotein (AFP), CCL20 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) were measured in all groups.
