A stereo interplanting system with foxtail millet beneath chestnut trees is an effective planting method to raise the utilization of land in chestnut orchards, increase yields and improve quality of chestnut nuts. Consequently, exploration of genes involved in shade tolerance response in foxtail millet and breeding shade-tolerant varieties have become urgent issues. In this study, RNA-seq of leaf samples from two shade-tolerant varieties and three shade-intolerant varieties of foxtail millet at the booting stage was performed.

Poly(β-hydroxybutyrate--β-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) was modified with endic anhydride grafted poly(propylene carbonate) (EA-PPC), and then PHBV/EA-PPC composite polymers were prepared by melt blending under the catalysis of stannous octoate (Sn(Oct)). The blends were characterized by an electronic universal testing machine, cantilever impact testing machine, and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), as well as dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Effects of the amount of Sn(Oct) on the mechanical properties, thermal properties, and morphology of the blends were discussed.

In order to further improve the accuracy of the video-based behavior recognition method, an effective behavior recognition method in the video session using convolutional neural network is proposed. Specifically, by adding the target detection phase before the behavior recognition algorithm, the body region in the video can be accurately extracted to reduce the interference of redundant and unnecessary background noises, and at the same time, the inappropriate images can be replaced, which has reached the role of balance background trade-off, and finally, the neural network can learn the human behavior information with emphasis. By adding fragmentation and stochastic sampling, the long-time time-domain modeling of the whole video session can be established, so that the model can obtain video-level expression ability.

Phosphating sesbania gum (DESG) was obtained by modifying sesbania gum (SG) with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) and endic anhydride (EA). The structure of DESG was determined using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (H-NMR). Flame-retardant polylactic acid (PLA) composites were prepared by melt-blending PLA with DESG, which acted as a carbon source, and ammonium polyphosphate (APP), which acted as an acid source and a gas source.

Combined with the principle of computer vision, the image acquisition model of basketball shooting action is constructed. The edge contour and adaptive feature segmentation of basketball images are detected, and abnormal shooting movements are recognized.

Background: Chinese chestnut is an economically important tree species whose yield and quality are seriously affected by red spider attack. Tannins is one of the most important class secondary metabolites in plants, and is closely associated with plant defense mechanisms against insect and herbivory. In our previous studies, it was revealed that several low-tannin foxtail millet varieties growing under the Chinese chestnut trees could attract red spiders to feed on their leaves and protect the chestnut trees from the infestation of red spiders, meanwhile, the growth and yield of foxtail millet plants themselves were not greatly affected.

Text interpretation of public English vocabulary is a critical task in the subject of natural language processing, which uses technology to allow humans and computers to communicate effectively using natural language. Text feature extraction is one of the most fundamental and crucial elements in allowing computers to effectively grasp and read text. This paper proposes a text feature extraction method based on wavelet analysis that performs fast discrete wavelet transform and inverse discrete wavelet transform on the feature vectors under the traditional TF-IDF vector space model to address the problem of low feature differentiation of high-dimensional data in text feature extraction.

Aim: An increasing body of evidence has evidenced that physical activity is negatively associated with depression and anxiety in adolescents, although the associations between various modalities of PA with depression and anxiety have yet to be effectively explored. This study aimed to investigate the associations between sports participation and depression and anxiety among a sample of Chinese adolescents.
Methods: 2,374 adolescents from eight schools were invited to participate in this survey, of whom 1,714 adolescents from grades 7, 8, 10 and 11 were included for final analysis.
