DNA-segment copy number variations (DSCNVs), such as deletions and duplications, are important sources of genomic structural variation. However, types and sizes of DSCNVs in wheat, as well as their genome-wide distribution and potential functions are poorly known. Here, we identified 198,985 DSCNVs by investigating 491 genomes of common wheat, which accounted for 20% of the entire genome.

Introduction: Forestry modernization (FM) and High quality economic development (HED) are two major goals that must be achieved in the process of economic development from low to high, and they are closely related to each other in their respective internal development mechanisms.

Methods: Based on the analysis of the coupling coordination mechanism between FM and HED, this paper empirically studies the coupling coordination degree and influencing factors of "forestry modernization and high quality economic development" ("FM-HED") using panel data from 30 provinces and cities in China (except Xizang, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) from 2012 to 2020. First, the entropy method and the coupling coordination degree model were used to analyze the temporal changes and spatial differentiation of the coupling coordination between FM and HED.

Polymorphism of Niobium Phosphate Bronze NaNbPO Deduced by the Packings of Structural Units: A Centrosymmetric Phase.

Inorg Chem

May 2024

Beijing Center for Crystal Research and Development, Key Laboratory of Functional Crystals and Laser Technology, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China.

Herein, a new centrosymmetric phase NaNbPO (referred to as CS-NaNbPO) was obtained by a molten salt method, which is a polymorph of niobium phosphate bronze NaNbPO. CS-NaNbPO displays high structural similarity to the noncentrosymmetric NaNbPO phase (referred to as NCS-NaNbPO): Distorted NbO octahedra are corner-coordinated to form ReO-type layers, which are further joined together by isolated PO tetrahedra. However, two polymorphous phases adopt different packings of structural units, resulting in distinct symmetries.

Granular cell apoptosis is a key factor leading to follicular atresia and decreased laying rate in aged laying hens. Endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) induced cell apoptosis is a new type of apoptosis pathway. Previous studies have shown that the ERS pathway is involved in the regulation of follicular development and atresia, and can be regulated by mTOR.

Nanozymes sensor array for discrimination and intelligent sensing of phenolic acids in food.

Food Chem

August 2024

Tianjin Key Laboratory of Industrial Microbiology, College of Biotechnology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, No.29 of 13th Street, TEDA, Tianjin 300457, PR China. Electronic address:

Although nanozymes sensor arrays have the potential to recognize multiple target substances simultaneously, they currently rarely identify phenolic acids in food due to limited catalytic performance and complex preparation conditions of nanozymes. Here, inspired by the structure of polyphenol oxidase, we have successfully prepared a novel gallic acid-Cu (GA-Cu) nanozyme with laccase-like activity. Due to the different catalytic efficiency of GA-Cu nanozymes towards six common phenolic acids, a three-channel colorimetric sensor array was constructed using reaction kinetics as the sensing unit to achieve high-throughput detection and identification of six phenolic acids within a concentration range from 1 to 100 μM.

Westerly-triggered lake-effect snowfall enhanced with climate warming over the Tibetan Plateau.

Sci Bull (Beijing)

April 2024

State Key Laboratory of Tibetan Plateau Earth System, Environment and Resources (TPESER), Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100101, China.

Article Synopsis
  • Lake-effect snowfall (LES) occurs when cold air moves over open lakes, and its frequency is expected to increase on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) due to climate warming.
  • Research shows that LES is linked to factors like lake area, wind speed, and temperature changes as cold air shifts southward, particularly affecting larger lakes.
  • Model simulations indicate that in 2013, major lakes in southern TP caused over 50% of snowfall in nearby regions, and future projections suggest worsened conditions under climate scenarios, necessitating proactive policies.
