Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) frequently recur, and patients often develop second primary tumors. Their distinction is clinically challenging. TP53 mutational heterogeneity may indicate novel molecular events rather than resistant clones' expansion or persistent disease.

Childhood-onset schizophrenia (COS) is a rare form of schizophrenia with an onset prior to 13 years of age. Although genetic factors play a role in COS etiology, only a few causal variants have been reported to date. This study presents a diagnostic exome sequencing (ES) in 37 Israeli Jewish families with a proband diagnosed with COS.

Unlabelled: The Ultra-Orthodox Jewish population has behaviors that can influence the risk for osteoporotic fractures. We investigated whether this population is more prone to osteoporotic fractures than non-Orthodox Jewish. We did not find a significant difference in osteoporotic fracture rates between the two populations despite major differences in exposure to potential risk factors.

Background: Use of medical cannabis (MC) in Israel has increased since its regulatory approval in 2016. Currently, more than 1% of Israeli adults are treated with MC; this requires primary care physicians (PCPs) to be familiar with this treatment option.

There is rising evidence that genetic factors play a major role in COS etiology, yet, only a few single gene mutations have been discovered. Here we present a diagnostic whole-exome sequencing (WES) in an Israeli Jewish female with COS and additional neuropsychiatric conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and aggressive behavior.

Unlabelled: The practice of mechanically restraining psychiatric patients is constantly under debate, and staff attitudes are considered a central factor influencing restraining practices. The aim of this study was to explore associations between psychiatric staff members' presence and participation in incidences of restraint and attitudes towards mechanical restraints.
Methods: Staff members (psychiatrists, nurses, paramedical staff; N = 143 working in a government psychiatric hospital in Israel) completed a questionnaire including personal information, participation in incidents of restraint and attitudes towards mechanical restraints.

A retrospective study was performed on 18 patients who had undergone revision total knee arthroplasty (TKA) between 1992 and 2000 with stiff knee (average, 50 degrees range of motion). The so-called "wandering resident" surgical exposure was used. This procedure was used twice in 5 cases with low-grade infection in a 2-stage revision of their septic prosthesis.
