How Do Classic (Static) RSA and Patient Motion Artifacts Affect the Assessment of Migration of a TKA Tibial Component? An In Vitro Study.

Background: Classic (static) Roentgen stereophotogrammetric analysis (RSA) is the current gold standard to assess, in vivo, the migration of total joint arthroplasty components. To prevent potential patient motion artifacts during the acquisition of paired radiostereometric images, images must be taken by simultaneously firing both X-ray tubes. However, the influence of nonsynchronized RSA paired images or patient motion artifacts on the precision of RSA and the assessment of implant migration is not well understood.

miR-137 represses migration and cell motility by targeting COX-2 in non-small cell lung cancer.

Background: Lung cancer is a common malignant tumor, with, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounting for about 80-85% of cases. This study investigated the expression of miR-137 in NSCLC tissues and cells and its effects on the migration and invasion of NSCLC cells and related mechanisms.

Methods: We collected the neoplastic and paracancerous tissues of NSCLC patients, detected the expression of miR-137 in NSCLC tissues and cell lines by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR), and analyzed the correlation between miR-137 expression and the clinicopathological features and survival of NSCLC.

Enhanced recovery after surgery for primary total hip arthroplasty: analysis of post-operative blood indexes.

Introduction: To explore the clinical efficacy of the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) program in terms of blood management for primary hip arthroplasty patients.

Method: Ninety cases of total hip arthroplasty in our hospital from October 2020 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects, 45 cases as the control group, and 45 cases as the ERAS group. The control group was given routine care after operation, while the ERAS group was given ERAS management.

Background: Elderly hemodialysis patients have a higher rate of mortality than nonelderly hemodialysis patients. Recent studies shown that the serum uric acid to creatinine ratio (SUA/Scr) was associated with all-cause mortality in general adults. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the association between the SUA/Scr and all-cause and cardiovascular disease mortality among elderly hemodialysis patients.

Methods: We collected clinical data among 306 patients with PD over 2 years. EDS was assessed by the Epworth Sleepiness Scale and QoL was measured with the 39-item Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire.

Reference interval for urinary neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin in healthy adults in Jiangsu region in Eastern China: a multicenter study.

We explored the concentrations of urinary neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) in healthy adults in the Jiangsu region in Eastern China and established a reference interval using latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetry to provide important guidelines for the interpretation and application of urinary NGAL in clinical practice. In total, 1970 eligible subjects from four regions were included in this study. The urinary NGAL levels were measured using an AU5800 automatic biochemical analyzer with its matched reagents.

Exosome-rich fractions were isolated from the plasma of 90 patients with OC enrolled in this study. The levels of plasma exosome-derived FATS were detected by ELISA.
