Lung adenocarcinoma is the most common and aggressive type of lung cancer with the highest incidence of bone metastasis. Epidermal growth factor-like domain multiple 6 (EGFL6) is an exocrine protein, and the expression of EGFL6 is correlated with survival of patient with lung adenocarcinoma. However, the association between EGFL6 expression in lung adenocarcinoma and bone metastasis has not been investigated.

A study of the effects of drifts on the particle flow pattern and in-out divertor plasma density asymmetry for L-mode and H-mode plasmas is carried out for EAST discharges by the edge plasma transport codes SOLPS and BOUT++ . The simulation of L-mode plasmas is done by SOLPS while the simulation of H-mode plasmas is done by BOUT++ . The toroidal magnetic field direction for the simulated discharge is artificially reversed in the codes to study the effects of different drift directions on the divertor particle flow pattern and the in-out asymmetry of divertor plasma density.

Aims And Objectives: To investigate the English training requirements, priorities, and related factors of non-native English-speaking nurses.
Background: Few studies have focused on the English training requirements of nurses in non-native English-speaking hospitals, and even fewer applied quantitative methods to analyze their English needs and related factors.
Design: A total of 397 clinical nurses from a hospital in Zhejiang Province, China, were invited to answer questions from the 17-item English Language Requirement Scale (ELRS-17) through an online questionnaire system from May 7-12, 2021.

Objective: To identify critical quality factors and critical satisfaction gaps in emergency training courses for new nurses through a systematic decision-making model.
Methods: Firstly, the service quality (SERVQUAL) was used in the evaluation index system of this study. Then, the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method was used to analyze the relationship structure and the corresponding weights between the indicators.

Chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) plays multiple roles in cell metabolism. We found that lysosome-associated membrane protein type 2A (LAMP2A), a crucial protein of CMA, plays a key role in the control of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) adipo-osteogenesis. We identified a differentially expressed CMA gene (LAMP2) in GEO datasets (GSE4911 and GSE494).

In the sulfotransferase (SULT) superfamily, members of the SULT1 family mainly catalyse the sulfonation reaction of phenolic compounds, which is involved in the phase II metabolic detoxification process and plays a key role in endocrine homeostasis. A coding variant rs1059491 in the SULT1A2 gene has been reported to be associated with childhood obesity. This study aimed to investigate the association of rs1059491 with the risk of obesity and cardiometabolic abnormalities in adults.

Background: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a highly aggressive malignancy with a poor prognosis. Aspartate β-hydroxylase (ASPH) is an α-ketoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase involved in the post-translational hydroxylation of target proteins. ASPH has been demonstrated to be upregulated in ICC, yet its role remains to be elucidated.

Salvigenin is a Trimethoxylated Flavone enriched in Scutellariae Barbatae Herba and Scutellariae Radix and is demonstrated to have anti-tumor properties in colon cancer. Notwithstanding, the function and mechanism of Salvigenin in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are less well studied. Different doses of Salvigenin were taken to treat HCC cells.

Purpose: to develop a radiogenomic model on the basis of F-FDG PET/CT radiomics and clinical-parameter EGFR for predicting PFS stratification in lung-cancer patients after SBRT treatment.
Methods: A total of 123 patients with lung cancer who had undergone F-FDG PET/CT examination before SBRT from September 2014 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients' PET/CT images were manually segmented, and the radiomic features were extracted.

Objectives: Waning vaccine-induced immunity and emergence of new severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants which may lead to immune escape, pose a major threat to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, enhanced efficacy of the neutralization antibodies (NAb) produced after the booster dose of vaccinations against the Omicron variant is the main focus of vaccine strategy research. In this study we have analyzed the potency of the NAbs and IgGs produced after the third vaccine dose in patients infected with Omicron variant and wild-type (WT) SARS-CoV-2.

Ischemia reperfusion injury remains a major barrier to liver transplantation, especially using grafts from donation after circulatory death, and it is also a pressing issue to be solved in clinical practice. Kupffer cell polarization toward a proinflammatory M1 phenotype is an early trigger of liver ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, the molecular mechanism regulating Kupffer cell polarization has not yet been fully elucidated.

Whether thymectomy (TM) or thymomectomy (TMM) is better for non-myasthenic patients with early-stage thymoma. We conducted a meta-analysis to compare the clinical outcomes and prognoses of non-myasthenic patients with early-stage thymoma treated using thymectomy versus thymomectomy. PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and CNKI databases were systematically searched for relevant studies on the surgical treatment (TM and TMM) of non-myasthenic patients with early-stage thymoma published before March 2022.

Background: Since July 2021, some countries and regions have initiated the vaccination of minors against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), and parental COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy will affect the vaccination of minors. We aimed to identify the level of parental hesitancy to vaccinate their children against COVID-19 in Taiwan and the factors associated with vaccine hesitancy.
Methods: We conducted a population-based, self-administered online questionnaire in Taiwan to assess parental hesitancy and the factors influencing their children's vaccination against COVID-19.

Background: Although adaptive radiotherapy (ART) has many advantages, ART is not universal in the clinical appliance due to the consumption of a lot of labor, and economic burden. It is necessary to explore a CT stimulation-based radiomics model for screening who can get more benefits from ART in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.
Method: 183 cases of NSCLC patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy with an adaptive approach were enrolled as a primary cohort, while 28 cases from another hospital served as an independent external validation cohort.

Background: Breast cancer ranks second in female tumor mortality, with an estimation of 2 million new cases diagnosed each year worldwide.
Methods: In our current study, we screened 13 genes highly distributed on the P53 phenotype which were significantly expressed and had a strong correlation with survival in the Cancer Genome Atlas breast cancer dataset. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator Cox regression was conducted to construct the risk assessment model.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second deadliest cancer and the third-most common malignancy in the world. Surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy have been widely used to treat CRC, but some patients still develop resistance to these treatments. Ferroptosis is a novel non-apoptotic form of cell death.
