More than 520 specimens of the chrysomelid genus were available for study as the result of collecting efforts by citizen scientists. Taiwanese species of can be separated into two species groups based on presence or absence of hind wings. The group (winged) contains Kimoto, 1996 and The group (wingless) contains Kimoto, 1996, , and Members of the group inhabit alpine microhabitats and are the only wingless galerucines in Taiwan that occur in harsh environments, as is the case with most brachelytrous Chrysomelidae.
