Arsenic (As) as a metal ion has long-term toxicity and its presence in water poses a serious threat to the environment and human health. So, rapid and accurate recognition of traces of As is of particular importance in environmental and natural resources. In this study, a fast and sensitive colorimetric method was developed using silver nano prisms (Ag NPrs), cysteine-capped Ag NPrs, and methionine-capped Ag NPrs for accurate detection of arsenic-based on transforming the morphology of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs).

Metformin (MTF), an effective biguanide and oral antihyperglycemic agent, is utilized to control blood glucose levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus, and the determination of its concentration in biological fluids is one of the main issues in pharmacology and medicine. In this work, highly luminescent nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs) were modified using terbium (Tb)-1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) nanoparticles (NPs) to develop a dual-emission ratiometric fluorescent sensor for the determination of MTF in biological samples. The synthesized N-GQDs/Tb-Phen NPs were characterized using different techniques to confirm their physicochemical properties.

Nowadays, electrocardiogram (ECG) changes are one of the valuable diagnostic clues for recognizing abnormalities. Potassium is one of the essential electrolytes in cardiac cells, and its variations affect ECG. Potassium disorders, including hyperkalemia and hypokalemia in authoritarian states, may lead to heart dysfunctions and could be life-threatening, and urgent interventions are needed in this conditions.

Telegony refers to the appearance of some characteristics of the female's previously mated male in her subsequent offspring by another male. According to evidence, telegony may occur either through the infiltration of sperm into the somatic tissues of the female genital tract or the presence of fetal genes in the mother's blood. It is highlighted that sperm penetrates into the mucosa of the uterine and possibly alters the genetic structure, affecting the embryo and enduring from one pregnancy to the next, which may be one of the potential mechanisms of telegony.

Isolated bacteria were identified by 16s rRNA gene amplification and subjected to series of in vitro tests to find out their probiotic potential. A total of 2345 colonies were collected and 465 of them were confirmed as lactic acid bacteria (LAB), of which , , and were the top three isolated bacteria.

Methods: This clinical trial was conducted on 56 subjects with IBS diagnosed by Rome IV criteria.
Background: Inositol is a sugar-alcohol and recognized as a key component of cell membrane phospholipids. It has crucial role in the cell signaling pathways and contribute to improving glycemic responses. Although some earlier studies have revealed the effect of inositol mediating glucose uptake by improving insulin sensitivity, the benefit of inositol supplementation in patients with overweight and obesity is not completely understood.

In most infected people, SARS-CoV-2 can only cause moderate symptoms, while in other patients, it leads to severe illness and eventually death. Although the main clinical manifestation of COVID-19 is often seen in the lungs, this disease affects almost all body organs.

Four polysaccharides (chitosan, cellulose, starch, and pectin) were magnetized with magnetic iron oxide (FeO) and then sulfonated (except pectin) with chlorosulfonic acid. The obtained solid acids were used as a catalyst in three-component reactions between -substituted-2-formylpyrrole, hydroxylamine-hydrochloride, and β-keto esters for the synthesis of 4-(2-pyrrolyl) methylene-isoxazole-5-ones. The optimal catalyst system was selected and studied by IR, SEM, TEM and XRD methods.

Uric acid (UA) is the end product of purine metabolism. Uric acid is usually excreted in the urine, but its abnormal increase and toxic amount can lead to diseases such as gout, hyperuricemia, Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, and cardiovascular disease. On the other hand, UA reduction can lead to neurodegenerative diseases such as sarcoma, glioblastoma, Hodgkin, and Therefore, rapid identification of UA is of great importance.

Advanced therapeutic strategies include the incorporation of biomaterials, which has been identified as an effective method in treating unsolved diseases, such as spinal cord injury. During the acute phase, cascade responses involving cystic cavitation, fibrous glial scar formation, and myelin-associated dissuasive accumulation occur in the microenvironment of the spinal cord lesion. Graphene oxide (GO)-based materials, due to their extraordinary chemical, electrical and mechanical properties and easy to modify structure, are considered as rising stars in biomaterial and tissue engineering.

Although transplanted neural stem cells (NSCs) can recover some of the functional deficit after stroke, retrieval is not complete and repair of lost tissue is negligible. Therefore, the current challenge is to use the combination of NSCs with suitably enriched biomaterials to retain these cells within the infarct cavity and accelerate the formation of a de novo tissue.
