Background: High dose chemotherapy is one of the therapeutic strategies for breast cancer and doxorubicin (DOX) as a chemotherapy agent is widely used. DOX indication is limited due to its dose-depended cardiotoxicity. Recently, cannabidiol (CBD) shows antitumoral and cardioprotective effects, so we hypothesized that CBD administration with high-dose DOX chemotherapy can improve anticancer activity and reduce cardiotoxic side effects.

Cervical cancer (CC) is a primary global health concern, ranking as the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death in women. Despite advancements in prognosis, long-term outcomes remained poor. Beyond HPV, cofactors like dietary deficiencies, immunosuppression, hormonal contraceptives, co-infections, and genetic variations are involved in CC progression.

The relationship between dietary antioxidants and breast cancer (BrCa) has been investigated in various studies. As a limitation, they generally investigate the relationship between one specific antioxidant and the risk/odds of BrCa, and synergistic or inhibitory effects are less considered. Dietary antioxidant index (DAI) is a reliable nutritional tool that evaluates total nutritional antioxidant capacity and is validated with serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC) and Malondialdehyde (MDA).

Macrophage polarization is a process through which macrophages attain unique functional features as a response to certain stimuli from their niche. Lipopolysaccharide and Th1 cytokines induce generation of M1 macrophages. On the other hand, IL-4, IL-13, IL-10, IL-33, and TGF-β induce polarization of macrophages towards M2 phenotype.

Introduction: Most kidney transplantation surgeons tend to prefer the left-sided kidney for donation. Because one of the veins to join the left renal vein is the left testicular (gonadal) vein, its flow may be damaged by manipulation of the left renal vein during left-sided nephrectomy. We sought to evaluate changes of the left-sided pampiniform venous plexus and testis following left-sided nephrectomy in kidney donors.

However, some such organisms have zoonotic importance. The aims of this study were to evaluate the morphological and biochemical characteristics of cultivable canine gastric Helicobacter-like organisms (GHLOs) in pets and stray dogs and their prevalence in these two groups of dogs.
