Intervertebral Disc (IVD) is a moderately moving joint that provides load transfer and flexibility to the entire spine. Although healthy IVD can balance the turnover of slow-synthesis matrices, this balance is often disrupted that leading to the development of degenerative diseases. The pathogenesis and treatment mechanism of Intervertebral Disc Degeneration (IDD) has always been the focus of scientific research, but its pathogenesis is still unknown.

Effect of sequential treatment with TCM syndrome differentiation on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and AECOPD risk window.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the comprehensive interventions based on three Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) patterns therapy in acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) and AECOPD risk window.

Methods: A prospective, multi-center, single-blinded, double-dummy and randomized controlled clinical trial is being conducted to test the therapeutic effects of a sequential two stage treatment. A total of 364 patients were enrolled into this study with 182 in each treatment group (TCM and conventional).

Comparative effectiveness of Di'ao Xin Xue Kang capsule and Compound Danshen tablet in patients with symptomatic chronic stable angina.

A high proportion of patients with stable angina remains symptomatic despite multiple treatment options. Di'ao Xinxuekang (XXK) capsule and Compound Danshen (CDS) tablet have been approved for treating angina pectoris for more than 20 years in China. We compare the anti-anginal effectiveness of XXK capsule and CDS tablet in patients with symptomatic chronic stable angina.
