Aims: Reconstruction after osteoarticular resection of the proximal ulna for tumours is technically difficult and little has been written about the options that are available. We report a series of four patients who underwent radial neck to humeral trochlea transposition arthroplasty following proximal ulnar osteoarticular resection.
Methods: Between July 2020 and July 2022, four patients with primary bone tumours of the ulna underwent radial neck to humeral trochlea transposition arthroplasty.

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is caused by balanced translocation t(9::22)(q34;q11) resulting in formation of pathogenic BCR-ABL fusion gene. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI) have revolutionised the treatment of CML. Ongoing treatment with TKI leads to side effects and has financial impact.

Adaptive radiotherapy (ART) refers to methods that allow a radiation therapy plan to be adjusted based on images obtained during the treatment. Using cutting-edge imaging methods such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET), ART can adjust the treatment plan in response to observed changes in anatomy and even biology while the patient is receiving treatment. The backbone of ART is intensity-modulated RT (IMRT), which permits better sparing of normal critical organs while still delivering a uniform dose to target tumor volume.

Occupational groups like solid waste management personnel face significant health challenges due to prevalent tobacco use, leading to oral potentially malignant lesions and oral cancer. Enhanced tobacco control strategies are essential for these groups.

Background And Aims: The lack of a dedicated pain service catering to the postsurgical period has resulted in the origination of the pain-period gap. This has led to a resurgence of transitional pain service (TPS). Our objective was to evaluate the feasibility of TPS in pain practice among postsurgical cancer patients and its prevention of persistent postsurgical pain (PPSP), culminating in chronic pain catastrophising.

Background: Traditionally, colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs) are divided into "initially resectable" and "initially unresectable." The terminology "borderline resectable" continues to be elusive without any common consensus or definition. This narrative review aims to decode the conundrum of "borderline resectable CRLM (BR-CRLM)" and to discuss optimal treatment strategies.

Background: The transverse abdominis plane block is increasingly being used as a less-invasive alternative to thoracic epidural analgesia for effective pain management. This study aimed to compare transverse abdominis plane block with opioid-based thoracic epidural analgesia in terms of postoperative opioid consumption.
Methods: Patients in the thoracic epidural analgesia group received a continuous infusion of 0.

Although current clinical practice guidelines have discordant conclusions, a judicious approach to using NMBA infusions may include reserving their use for patients with early severe ARDS who are already deeply sedated and for patients under light sedation who have significant ventilator dyssynchrony, despite attempts to adjust both ventilator settings and sedation requirements. Based on current evidence, the duration of NMBA use should be limited to 48 hours, whenever possible.

Background: Hypertrophic olivary degeneration (HOD) is a rare form of transsynaptic degeneration, caused by injury to the dentato-rubro-olivary pathway (DROP). Radiologically, this manifests as T2 hyperintensity, with or without enlargement of the inferior olivary nucleus. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the incidence, associated imaging characteristics, potential etiologies, latency period, and temporal progression of HOD in patients undergoing surgical resection of posterior fossa tumors (PFTs).

The Government of India (GOI) has launched a nationwide cervical, breast and oral cancer prevention and control program. However, the fifth round of the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5), a nationwide survey conducted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), GOI, has shown concerning results on screening uptake by both men and women across India. This study was conducted to describe the uptake of cancer screening by women residing in Uttar Pradesh (UP), the largest state of India.

Background: Immune check point inhibitors (ICIs) have an established role in Microsatellite-Instability-High (MSI-H) and Combined Positive Score (CPS) high advanced gastric/gastroesophageal (G/GE) adenocarcinomas, but there is limited real world data with regard to practice patterns, and efficacy of standard doses (SD-ICIs) and alternative lower doses (LD-ICIs).
Methods: A retrospective study of patients with advanced G/GE adenocarcinomas receiving ICIs was conducted. The primary endpoint of the study was 12-month overall survival (OS), which was computed by Kaplan-Meier method.

India records one fifth of global cervical cancer burden. Unlike human papillomavirus (HPV) self-sampling, other screening methods may cause discomfort and embarrassment. This study aimed to investigate attitudes, acceptability, barriers, predictors, effective modality of instructions, and validity of HPV self-sampling among Indian women residing in varied settings and different literacy levels.

Head and neck cancer management requires multidisciplinary approach in which radical surgery with or without flap reconstructions and neck dissection, along with radiotherapy (RT)/chemoradiotherapy (CRT) serve as the key components. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy and immunotherapy are used in selected cases based on the institutional preference. Knowledge of expected post-treatment changes on imaging is essential to differentiate it from recurrence.

Medical certification of the cause of death provides epidemiological information for developing cause-specific mortality and disease trends, guiding the monitoring of health programmes and allocating health resources. Therefore, providing correct information on the cause of death is essential. This study describes the errors in medical certification of the cause of death in India.
