Background: Subjective Cognitive Decline (SCD) may represent the initial symptom of Alzheimer's disease (AD), but SCD may be absent and/or unrelated to actual cognitive decline. Objective Subtle Cognitive Decline (obj-SCD) can be identified through longitudinal standardized neuropsychological tests in individuals not yet meeting criteria for Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). We argue that the relationship between SCD and obj-SCD might help to inform clinical and research criteria in pre-MCI stages.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is an aggressive malignancy, but there is limited improvement in its treatment. Near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging could potentially address the clinical challenges of PDAC. Indocyanine green (ICG) has been widely used in clinical practice; however, its short half-life and lack of active targeting greatly limit its application in pancreatic surgery.

Background: Eating disorders are more prevalent in Western countries and their prevalence is on the rise in India, mainly due to peer pressure and the influence of media. However, research on eating disorders is limited in India. The aim of this study is to estimate the prevalence of eating disorders among senior college students and to ascertain factors for eating disorder risk.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by the accumulation of abnormal proteins, such as β-amyloid and tau, in the brain, which precedes cognitive impairment. Although diabetes mellitus (DM) is a well-established risk factor for AD, few studies have investigated how the presence of DM affects the sequential pathogenesis of AD, specifically within the amyloid-tau-neurodegeneration (ATN) and cognition framework.
Objectives: This study aims to investigate the trajectories of ATN biomarkers in relation to the presence of DM in the preclinical and prodromal stages of AD.

Unlabelled: This study compared liquid and tablet forms of alendronate for osteoporosis treatment. After 12 months, both forms increased bone density to a similar degree with no significant differences in side effects. New low-volume liquid alendronate is as effective as tablets, offering an alternative treatment option for postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.

Purpose: This study aimed to construct a prediction model regarding risk factors and prognostic factors for distant metastasis of T1-T3 stage rectal cancer. For this purpose, a population-based retrospective cohort study was conducted.
Methods: Data on 7872 patients diagnosed with rectal cancer between 2004 and 2020 were obtained from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database, of whom 746 had distant metastases at diagnosis.

Noninvasive fluorescence detection of tumor-associated biomarker dynamics provides immediate insights into tumor biology, which are essential for assessing the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, adapting treatment strategies, and achieving personalized diagnosis and therapy evaluation. However, due to the absence of a single biomarker that effectively reflects tumor development and progression, the currently available optical diagnostic agents that rely on "always-on" or single pathological activation frequently show nonspecific fluorescence responses and limited tumor accumulation, which inevitably compromises the accuracy and reliability of tumor imaging. Herein, based on intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) and twisted intramolecular charge-transfer (TICT) hybrid mechanisms, we report a tandem-locked probe, , for simultaneously specific imaging-guided tumor resection and ferroptosis-mediated tumor ablation evaluation under the coactivation of nitro reductase (NTR)/viscosity.

Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that causes pain and fatigue, reduces physical function, and negatively impacts health-related quality of life (HRQoL). In the phase III BE OPTIMAL and BE COMPLETE studies, bimekizumab demonstrated clinical efficacy and meaningful improvements in patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures in biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (bDMARD)-naïve patients, and those who had prior inadequate response/intolerance to tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi-IR).
Objectives: To examine the association between achieving increasingly stringent clinical disease control criteria and improvements in PRO measures in patients with active PsA receiving bimekizumab.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) can be optimally managed from a healthcare point of view if detected at a prodromal stage. Amnestic mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is known as prodromal AD, has attracted extensive attention and research.
Objective: To identify the differences in cognitive function and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features between men and women with MCI on the basis of A/T/N classification system ("A" means amyloid-β biomarker, "T" means tau biomarker, and "N" means neurodegeneration biomarker as determined by clinical imaging (e.

Background: Perivascular space (PVS) enlargement in ageing and Alzheimer's disease (AD) and the drivers of such a structural change in humans require longitudinal investigation. Elucidating the effects of demographic factors, hypertension, cerebrovascular dysfunction, and AD pathology on PVS dynamics could inform the role of PVS in brain health function as well as the complex pathophysiology of AD.
Methods: We studied PVS in centrum semiovale (CSO) and basal ganglia (BG) computationally over three to four annual visits in 503 participants (255 females; mean = 70.

The most general cancer in men is prostate cancer (PCa), with its risk increasing due to age and obesity. Visfatin, a member of adipokines, is related to cancer progression and metastasis, but its relationship in PCa remains undetermined. In addition, no knowledge is available regarding relations between polymorphisms and clinicopathological characteristics in PCa.

Idiopathic root resorption is characterized by the gradual destruction of tooth roots without a clear cause; the possible underlying factors include genetic predispositions, immune system abnormalities, or environmental influences. This case report highlights an unusual instance of a 27-year-old young female patient who presented with multiple decayed teeth; the orthopantomographic examination incidentally revealed extensive root resorptions. Thorough biochemical investigations such as acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), thyroxine (T4), and triiodothyronine (T3), as well as calcium, were within normal limits, with no identifiable local or systemic factors, leading to a diagnosis of idiopathic root resorption.
