Aims: Our previous 3-period crossover study in healthy volunteers comparing the pharmacokinetics of nalbuphine nasal spray Apain with parenteral nalbuphine solution demonstrated high bioavailability of the nasal spray and close similarity of pharmacokinetic profiles after intranasal and intramuscular administration, especially within 30 min postdose. The aim of the present study was a noninferiority assessment of nalbuphine nasal spray vs. intramuscular injection for pain relief in postoperative patients.

Aims: This study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of microporous polysaccharide hemospheres (MPSHs) in managing blood loss and reducing the risk of postoperative haematoma and early periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) following total hip arthroplasty (THA) for femoral neck fracture (FNF), in the context of the existing treatment challenges.
Methods: A control-matched retrospective analysis of 163 patients undergoing unilateral primary THA for displaced FNF between 2020 and 2023 was performed. The study group consisted of 74 patients who received MPSH administered intraoperatively.

Background: Degenerative spine disease is one of the largest causes of disability worldwide and has a multifactorial aetiology. Determining the leading causes of this multifactorial disease could help create new treatment approaches.
Purpose: Study the impact of degenerative changes in the paraspinal muscles caused by local (prolonged compression) or systemic (high-fat diet) factors on the structure of the intervertebral discs (IVDs) and facet joints of the lumbar spine in rats.

Pathogenic variants in SPARC cause a rare autosomal recessive form of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), classified as OI type XVII, which was first reported in 2015. Only six patient cases with this specific form of OI have been reported to date. The SPARC protein plays a crucial role in the calcification of collagen in bone, synthesis of the extracellular matrix, and the regulation of cell shape.

Background: Studies on the specificity of ABH antigen-antibody interactions at different pH values are rare. Therefore, the aim of this study was to estimate the effect of acidification of the reacting medium on the agglutinating ability of anti-A monoclonal antibodies (mABs) and their inhibition by glycoconjugates of red blood cell membranes.
Methods: Anti-A mABs were obtained from the Fourth International Workshop on Monoclonal Antibodies Against Human Red Blood Cell and Related Antigens (on July 19-20, 2002, in Paris, France).

Background: Total hip arthroplasty is a common surgical treatment for elderly patients with osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women. In such cases, highly porous acetabular components are a favorable option in achieving osseointegration. However, further discussion is needed if use of such acetabular components is justified under the condition of normal bone mass.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The histological and morphometric study was carried out on 60 male white rats after titanium implants with different surface structures made by 3D printed technology were inserted in the distal femur bone: presented by the multilayered layers of interlacing pores of 300 microns (series 1); rough (> 2 microns) (series 2); and tantalum implants with 300 microns pores and 80% porosity (series 3) as control material.
Results: Results: On the 30 days we found statistically significant differences in the bone-implant contact rate between the 2nd experiment series (44.
Objective: The aim: To develop a mathematical model of selecting the extent of surgical intervention in the spinal tumors.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The retrospective study included 237 patients with spinal tumors who underwent the following surgeries: vertebroplasty (V); vertebroplasty and spinal fixation (F+V); posterior spinal decompression and spinal fixation (F+F); vertebrectomy and replacement of vertebra by a cage with posterior spinal fixation (F+F+K). The mathematical model is based on the modified Spine Instability Neoplastic Score (SINS).

Insufficient bone regeneration is a common issue for patients with extensive bone damage, therefore the use of allografts is required. With increasing life expectancy, there is a higher risk of bone repair issues after fractures or orthopedic surgical intervention. We studied incorporation and remodeling of structural allografts in critical size metaphyseal femur defects in 52 rats aged 3-month-old and 12-month-old who underwent surgeries creating a bone defect, which was either filled with a structural allograft (3-month-old - 3moAllo; 12-month-old - 12moAllo) or left empty (3-month-old - 3moE; 12-month-old - 12moE).

Objective: The aim: Determine the changes in bone density that occur in the cortical layer of the tibia in patients with CPT after surgical treatment due to radiography data.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The study was performed on X-rays of the tibia of three patients with CPT, aged 5 to 7 years. X-rays were taken before surgery and 1 year after surgery.

Objective: The aim: To assess the bone remodeling around highly porous titanium cups TTM in patients with low bone mass one year after total hip arthroplasty (THA).
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: In this prospective study were included 18 patients (18 hips), whom was performed primary THA with the use of TTM cups. According to T-score of Lumbar Spine, patients were divided into 2 groups: normal bone mineral density (BMD) (n=9) if T-score ≥ -1, and low BMD (n=9) if T-score < -1.
Aim - to study peculiarities of changes of stress-strain state in the proximal femur around the implanted femoral component of hip prosthesis in case of inter-trochanteric fracture on the background of involutive osteoporosis in connection with functional loading by numeral analysis on a mathematical model. Using program SolidWorks 2 variants of finite element models of inter-trochanteric fractures were built, including type 31-A2, with the implantation of the femoral component of hip prosthesis - without restoration and with the restoration of the intertrochanteric region and calcar with a ring-shaped graft. The simulated load is single-support standing and the action of the musculo-ligamentous apparatus in the vertical position of the body.

Bone tissue engineering strategy involves the 3D scaffolds and appropriate cell types promoting the replacement of the damaged area. In this work, we aimed to develop a fast and reliable clinically relevant protocol for engineering viable bone grafts, using cryopreserved adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) and composite 3D collagen-nano-hydroxyapatite (nanoHA) scaffolds. Xeno- and DMSO-free cryopreserved MSCs were perfusion-seeded into the biomimetic collagen/nanoHA scaffolds manufactured by cryotropic gelation and their osteoregenerative potential was assessed in vitro and in vivo.

Background: Today, biological fixation of uncemented press-fit acetabular components plays an important role in total hip arthroplasty. Long-term stable fixation of these implants depends on the osseointegration of the acetabular cup bone tissue into the acetabular cup implant, and their ability to withstand functional loads.
Aim: To compare the strength of bone-implant osseointegration of four types of porous metal implants in normal and osteoporotic bone in rabbits.
