Copper Sulfide (CuS) semiconductors have garnered interest, but the effect of transition metal doping on charge carrier kinetics and bandgap remains unclear. In this study, the interactions between dopant atoms (Nickel, Cobalt, and Manganese) and the CuS lattice using spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis are explored. The findings show that sp-d exchange interactions between band electrons and the dopant ions, which replace Cu, are key to altering the material's properties.

This study evaluated the effectiveness of an 8-week digital detox program on digital screen use among 300 nursing students and explored associations between screen use and demographic variables. A one-group pretest posttest design was employed using the Social Media Addiction Scale Student Form. The digital detox program was implemented for 8 weeks.

The transcription factor known as sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP) and the glycation pathways, specifically the formation of Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs), have a significant and deleterious impact on the kidney. They alter renal lipid metabolism and promote glomerulosclerosis, mesangial cell expansion, tubulointerstitial fibrosis, and inflammation, leading to diabetic nephropathy (DN) progression. Although several pieces of scientific evidence are reported for potential causes of glycation and lipotoxicity in DN, the underlying mechanism of renal lipid accumulation still needs to be fully understood.
