Cervicogenic headaches are a nosologic entity recently recognized. In our common practice, we have noticed a relative frequency of the atlas spina-bifida occulta during the brain CT scan realized for headaches without cranio-encephalic causes or any other anomaly of the upper cervical region. The aim of this study was to determine a possible connection between cervicogenic headaches (CEH) and atlas spina-bifida occulta.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyse war-related and non-war-related extremity injuries in soldiers in the Mali conflict.
Materials And Methods: This prospective study was performed from 1 May 1 to 31 December 2014. It concerned extremity injuries in soldiers treated at Togo Level 2 Hospital.
The congenital epulis is a benign congenital granular cell tumor arising most often of the alveolar ridge of the jawbone. When giant, it is source of digestive discomfort disabling feeding. We report the case of a newborn female, vaginal delivery, presented with a giant intraoral tumor.

Background: The treatment of the persistent peritoneo-vaginal duct (PPVD) or persistent processus vaginalis (PPV) in children by inguinal access carries a real testicular risk that can be avoided using the laparoscopic treatment, mostly in the case of recurrence. We hereby present the results of our first series treated by laparoscopy at Sylvanus Olympio Teaching Hospital.

Background: Rotavirus is the most common cause of severe gastroenteritis and dehydration in young children in both industrialized and developing countries. The anticipated introduction of rotavirus vaccine into Togo's national immunization program highlights the need for baseline data on the burden of this disease.
Methods: We conducted sentinel surveillance for rotavirus gastroenteritis among children <5 years of age in Sylvanus Olympio Teaching Hospital of Lome (Togo) from February 2008 through January 2012, based on the World Health Organization's generic protocol.

Cardiac injuries are rare and the associated mortality is high. Their prognosis can be ameliorated by early diagnosis and management in a specialized hospital with appropriate resuscitation care.
